Its certainly not one of the most innovative 3rd person shooters of its time.

On a more serious note though, a program called UE Viewer is probably your best bet for this. Its intended to extract models from various Unreal Engine based games, but it extracts textures just fine for the same reason. Beware though, current gen games generally have very large texture sizes. You definitely don't even want to bother putting them on a sheet.

It IS a command line program though so you'll have to know how to work with it. That aside though, you'll want to run the program from the same directory the game files are stored in or copy them all to the same directory as UE Viewer so that textures extract at the correct resolution. The model files themselves DO have textures stored in them, but they are very low res. UE Viewer won't extract the correct ones unless its either in the same directory as the rest of the game's files or you use the -path command to locate the game directory which can be bothersome.

Also note that you may or may not find textures for things that seem to be a much different color ingame. Usually these textures are sort of dyed ingame to be the correct color. Don't worry too much about this since there's not much you can do to color it exactly what it looks like ingame. At least without the source files. If you leave it as is it will be fine for submission. That is, if you find any textures like this in the first place.

This program works for Gears 2 as well by the way so if you ever get the urge to, then you know how to rip from it.

As I said in the Animal Crossing thread, please don't make posts just to say "I didn't know this existed!" and things like that that don't really add anything to it, especially ones that are from last year...

Don't get in a hurry now. Wink
