Bumpin again, this time going into pokemon
So a few notes:
-The inner part of Espeons ears were intentionally given a magenta like shade instead of a blue shade, I don't plan on changing it anytime soon.
-I am aware that the outline seems slightly jagged in some areas, it might have to do with AA I gave it but I'll fix it later on.
- Refrences used.
I don't know how to go on about the detail or shading, so I would appreciate some criticism on those two parts. Also I think I am not being consistent with the light sources (Again), so I might tweak it a little there.

How did I know you were going to say something along these lines.
I Yes I am aware I should finish things, except the only thing that keeps me from doing so is an evidential brain fart, so I usually put some of my works on hiatus unless I can come up with a way to improve the said work.
in short I simply don't bother to finish shit unless I decide to look back at it and figure out how to improve on it with the last criticisms given.
Yeah, not the best excuse, but whatever.

In other news I decided to experiment a wee bit, based on one of the references I have used within my vicinity.
Changes made:
-Fixed the ears a little bit
-used alpha layering to give a psychic effect based on one of the references I used (see earlier post)
-did the same thing for the shadow (might change or ditch)
-added some new detail
-slight dithering used
criticisms?
The dithering is making it look a tad worse, and the tail looks almost as if it isn't part of Espeon, but artificially attached.
The red gem on the forehead should stick out and not fade into the skin tone.

I'm not sure what the point of the highlight on its body is for. The first impression I got from the non-dithered version when I saw it was "balloon animal", which is think is because your highlight is isolated, and has a strong contrast with the body colors. The dithering you added isn't helping, it's creating a lot of noise. I agree with Proton's comment about the gem as well. Right now it looks like a dark cluster on the forehead.

Not sure if the tail is entirely fixed, I originally wanted it to appear as if it was slightly behind the body. but here.
I'm absolutely sure the gem is fixed.

good notions, bad execution.
the darker shades band, and you seem too shy to shade the body, tail or head with lighter shades.
stick to it!

Okay, I'm going to have to ask a slightly stupid question and ask what the best way to reduce ditherbanding is, because I don't feel like I'm getting any help from googling various tutorials looking for an answer.
you also seem to use too many straight lines and there is not exact logic on the colors you chose. Why the darker spots are made with gray is beyond me

I don't know if I improved on it but I made some changes that I felt were necessary.
I'm probably going to end up screwing around with the palette at this point, maybe attempt to fix the shading.

the one thing i notice on this is the light source is on the right but the shine on the gem is on the left

You're right.
welp:
fixed that and altered the palette and shading a tad.
So far I am pretty satisfied
The only thing that's bothering me is how the tail is kinda pointing upwards then just falling down, y'know what I mean? I always felt Espeon's tail was more curvy, but I'm not sure.

I figured I'd tweak the palette on what I was working on a tad.
I have really nothing else to do so that's why I decided to update this after such a long time.
