My current team now is, approximately in level: Level 23 Tranquil, Level 21 Scraggy, Level 21 Dewott, Level 22 Roggenrolla, Level 23 Audino, Level 23 Samisear.

Gothitelle and Caracosta are post-4th gym. I know that much. Also, evolution levels are very much late, so you're not gonna get a Scrafty (or any of those evolutions, really) for a LONG time.

Edit: I just beat the 4th Gym. My team is now:
Servine, Sigilyph, Yamask, Scraggy, Blitzle, Panpour.

I've arrived in the next city, which has the Cold Storage dungeon. Panpour is gonna be replaced by Vanillite asap.

How many badges should I have by the time I can encounter:

- Tympole
- Scraggy
- Vanillite
- Rufflet

Tympole is found between the 1st and 2nd gym.
Scraggy is accessible north of the 3rd gym (though you can access that area before beating it).
Vanillite is accessible after the 4th gym, as said above.
I've not encountered Vullaby/Rufflet yet.

Thanks, but I do know that Rufflet is available late in the game in White only, but I'm not sure if it's found before or after the 8th gym.

I started with Oshawott in White (my main), gonna give me Snivy & Tepig from Black tomorrow (or today, depending on how you look at it).

I couldn't wait and went with the Euro version. Honestly I'm glad I've stayed clear of every spoiler or mention of names I'm honestly enjoying the fact I know so little about what to do next. All I really understand is what levels my team should be for each gym,

1st gym: Highest lvl. 12-14, Lowest lvl. 9
2nd: Hi lvl 18-20, lowest 14-15
etc, etc.

Also, major bump in road with wifi-battles and local trading. My router and DS are not mixing apparently. The settings don't work but my router, but have always been WPA-2 locked, and use to work before when the pass was enabled. What's the deal now? Am I missing out a big portion of the game with the C-Gear not in constant online status?

also, i hear Audino is good in the beginning, but worse in the long run? when I battled it it was a fucking tank, Oshawott fainted trying to weaken it (and Oshawott was 3 levels higher)

Audino is interesting in that (outside of Chansey and possibly Clefairy) it's the only 'mon that exists to exclusively heal your own team. Unfortunately, that's obviously only useful in Double or Triple battles; which don't feature very often in the main adventure.

What they are good for is killing. Audino gives out disproportionately large amounts of EXP.

Edit: Sorbet, the Vanilite has been added to the party. It stings a little to no longer have access to a Water-type move, but I'll live. Servine is still pulling his weight, surprisingly enough; I was expecting him to be boxed by now. He's not massively fast or strong; but he's bulky. I've taken out a fair few Gym Pokemon via Leech Seed and sheer obstinacy thanks to him.

I had Audino, because it was good to start with, but found that it got crappier the more I used it, it seemed.

Just started. I'm heading to the second gym and so far the my team is Oshawatt (Spotter), Lillipup (Pallup), Pansear (Flambe), and Munna (Inream). Out of my team, Spotter is the only one I plan on keeping.


Also, I just noticed that when you put a pokemon to sleep, their eyes actually close.
