I should warn you, this thing looks horrendous

Along with a friend, I'm trying to make a hack of Sonic 2. She wants it to be from My Little Pony - FiM. I figured it would be nice and simple, I've done sprites before. Woops.



Scary, isn't it?

Long story short: Any tips on creating a sprite that small of this character? Tails' Tails are seperate, so that's one thing I have to be careful of.

Or is this, quite simply, a lost cause (unless it comes out like a 5 year old's first hack)?
