I joined a guild, but unjoined a week after. All it did was made me feel obliged to play it more often.

I'm only joining a guild again once I've gotten to Tier 2. By that time I'll probably be playing it often enough.

The game really didn't get fun for me UNTIL T2, for that reason I usually buy armor and shit for my
friends who just start playing, because its so cheap.

Hmm. In that case I'll see how it goes. Since I want an authentic experience, I'll get the stuff myself, but I'll just get heaps of minerals and rake in the crowns. Then I'll see how much better Tier 2 is.

What do dif minerals do besides open lvls? Any reason to get one color over the other?

Not really, I don't even bother with the levels.

Let them accumulate for a while a dump them when you need a bit of spare crowns.
