Hey, I forgot about this thread. HUH.
You're welcome in advance.

also Patient Zero, that is really nice, I dig the middle eastern flavor in the melody c:
This music thread was a really good idea Gors! I haven't posted on here in ages. The song posted above me is great! Was this made in Famitracker?
Also, I have a new song up on 8bc if anyone would like to click on over to have a listen. A quick warning before you click over. I have recorded this at quite a loud volume so be careful with your speakers or headphones before you click play.

also nice work, ef-why-el, I enjoyed the music c:

Thanks Gors, I appreciate it
I'm not very familiar with the ones you've just posted, but they're awesome! Are these made on a tracker?

yes, Famitracker and Madtracker, respectively.
another one, this time an original song

haha, this tune is super jazzy! The base line is great and the tune on a whole just sounds really original. Good work dude.

This is great! That vocal effect you put on it was great. The only crit. I can give you is maybe up the bass or make the kickdrum a tiny bit more recognisable.
Apart from that, it sounds really good!

I can try and tweak the bassdrum, but sadly I can't change the volume on the bass. Triangle wave doesn't have flexible volume change (or it is either on or off) and the fact that I'm using drum samples brings it down even more. NES limitations.

Those vocals are definitely sweet. Personally I think the kick is fine, although I will agree that the bass gets drowned out when things start kicking up
You know what's stupid? Realizing I never bothered to upload this remix I made for the longest while. Bonus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNAlRhFJZiM This one has vocals from the original DDR song that I added just because.

I don't know much about famitracker. It's not like it's a massive problem anyway. It's still really good! I just finished this today. It's a bit rushed, but I didn't really know what else I could do with it.

EF-WHY-EL: I'm digging the scale your using there, and those little bitcrushed breaks are pretty nice, only thing I'd say is that the stereo effect is a little jarring, I think it's just the timing of it isn't predictable, makes it kind of distracting.
Gors: I don't know if you'd call it cheating or not, but couldn't you just take a mix-minus of the track without the triangle, then take the triangle played solo and mix them as a multi-track? I actually wanted to mention to you two guys, I was chatting with my buddy who runs Galaxy15 Radio, he sometimes features chiptune music on his show, only really interested in original pieces (we only play creative commons music y'see), but if you've got an easy way for me to link him mp3's (or ogg's or whatever), he might well feature some of your stuff if you're down with it. |
