I spontaneoulsy went to watch the hobbit (1/3) with the family because I happened to run into them when they were leaving as I got back from a spontaneous walk.
I was a bit bummed that they didn't even consider asking me if I wanted to go too, but oh welll. The movie wasn't bad but what's up with Thorin's beard? Also a lot of HEY GUYS THIS IS LORD OF THE RINGS OKAY.

Lawless. I enjoyed the movie, and it did a great job of making you hate the antagonist.

The Hobbit.
It suffered from ill-fitting CGI and poor characterization in regards to some villains. I would say it was slightly above shit due to the action scenes and the actual story acting as a saving grace. Maybe my hopes were just too high?

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.
It was really good, and did a fantastic job of staying true to the games. Obviously it was lacking player input, but apart from that it had everything that the games did: clever puzzles, great music, a cast interesting characters, an intriguing mystery, and a fabulously put together story. I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it, just as I would from playing one of the games, and highly recommend it to anyone who's played the games. Thanked by:

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Very nice film. Obviously the fact that it is The Hobbit (really love the book) makes the story a big factor for me though, so I can't say how it would have been for someone who hasn't read it. There was a bit more action that I expected, but it was relatively interesting (compared to the LOTR's battles), especially with all the 3D effects. All-in-all I enjoyed it. I really miss NZ though, the scenery made me a bit homesick (12-20-2012, 12:31 PM)м▲я✞H Wrote: It suffered from ill-fitting CGI and poor characterization in regards to some villains. I think I see what you mean here, but personally I didn't find it too bad. I also think one of the reasons they decided on CGI with most villains was because it made 3D shots easier (which wasn't a factor in LOTR).

Accurately describes Russell Crowe's singing voice. |
