Well, Legends 3 for 3DS would have been awesome. It was a shame it was cancelled, I think Capcom deserves SOME negative consequences from such an action. Mostly because Capcom hyped everyone up before cancelling it, be it unintentional or no.

i know this is hard to believe but entertainment companies aren't forced by law to abide to what you want. if they aren't interested in the franchise anymore or if things went wrong that stopped the game from being continued, oh well.

did capcom handle the situation properly? hell no.


i'm not trying to defend the destruction of mega man but seriously, get over it. i was just as upset as you guys were that they cancelled most of those megaman projects and released a total bastardization to Mega Man X on the iPhone (don't look it up, it's really bad), but really. Capcom has more to offer than just Mega Man.

You also don't just throw out a 10 years waited sequel out when a demo is coming a week or so later, especially when you also throw in the hype of a new handheld, a new feature and community integration.

There are people who went and got the 3DS just for MML3, and the price drop for the console was before it was cancelled, making the system less valuable, and by then, your chance to get a refund is expired or you can't return it once opened at all.

Capcom is legitimately pulling off shit move after shit move.

There should be no reason not to dislike a company until they actually show a way to like them as much again.

RE6 is the only thing that actually looks like the only way to even slightly respect the company again,

also both characters look great even though they're trolls. mega-man even has his c. C from mvc2.

actually, the fault of that isn't even 100% on Capcom; the dev team for Mega Man Legends 3 hyped up the game before it was even greenlit. they are the ones who planned out everything before even submitting it to Capcom. you can blame Capcom all you want for not greenlighting it, but the team are the ones who hyped up a game that wasn't even OK'd. the effort was respectable, but they are the ones that fucked up.


aside from Legends 3 they haven't really fucked up that badly. they've been doing shitty things but Welcome To Mainstream Game Development. the only company that's really shown that they deserve to be "respected" lately is SNK Playmore/Atlus.


you don't have to like the company and you don't even have to respect them, but continuing to be borderline whiny and complainy about something that they clearly do not care about is not going to suddenly make them do something to make you like them again. Legends 3 isn't coming back no matter how much you guys complain about it.



it's actually pretty funny how pissed off people are getting over Box Art Mega Man because the same people getting mad are the same people who can't get over the fact that Legends 3 isn't a thing anymore.

While I do agree that buying a system just for one game isn't something I would do, after seeing this I kind of fear that this will turn out like Bomberman. They might end up making a game with that re-design and stick Mega Man's name on it and then not long afterwards they'll cancel the series (maybe after a few more attempts at making a few more games that don't quite turn out).

C'mon Capcom, bring us Mega Man X9 and put some serious effort in it to make it awesome that shows, like in the the first game, to name one.

I honestly don't care about where Mega Man is as far as his own franchise goes, I just don't think fat Mega Man has any place in SFxT. It's not just Mega Man.

It's awfully hard to see Legends 3 cancelled and then SSF4 Arcade Edition releases around the same time.
Then they go and release MvC3 without him in it,

And then UMvC3 comes out, with still no Mega Man.
It's a really weird day when Phoenix Wright is in it first.

But then there was the alt costumes, which had them make Zero be X, but that's just pushing it. They put little trinkets that cost money for the idea of a fake desire. It's just face slapping.

They've pulled something every few months that bring the point back up again.

Regardless of my thoughts on Mega Man or Capcom,

I feel like the bad box art joke has gone on too long. It was cute when MM9/10 had the box art parodies, and it was kinda silly seeing him in Universe, but now I really just don't care anymore. It's like a meme that's been around too long.

Pac-man Mokujin is cool though.
