You must be the only person in the world who didn't like the time thing about Majora's Mask. If you don't like the time limit or the 3 day system, then don't play the game and quit whining about it. The game would just be OOT with 4 dungeons if it didn't have that system. I had issues with the time system when I first played it, but you're completely right. I sometimes found it sort of frustrating if I ended up trying to do too many things at once, but that was basically my fault! People whining about the time system are basically saying WAH STOP TRYING NEW THINGS, DEVELOPERS. I think MM was ultimately way more rewarding when you finished a sidequest because usually you'd have to have done a lot of work and actual thinking to get shit done. There was a lot of interplay between different people too, which gave the world a lot of depth. I used to complain a lot about WEEEEH I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO EXPLORE but I was missing the point; you have plenty of time to explore, you just can't try to do everything at once. It's like what Facade tried to do only it's, you know, actually good.

majora was harder, yes.
but it was utterly superior to ocarina in all aspects for the same reason. and it was inmensely more depth than anything you could see on OOT. getting each mask is a game on its own.

I was hoping for this the moment I learned of OoT3DS.
Do it Nintendo...please?

I'm confused by Woppet and Zeemort's responses.
When did I say anything bad about the time system, again...? [in this thread] Note that I said after you beat the game. I was simply talking about a way to warp to any day at any time so you can mess around at the events on any day whenever you want, just as an extra feature to play around with kinda like the Day 4 glitch, but without the game crashing weirdness

But Zelda games don't have a New Game Plus mode... so where would it come into play? :F

Except when a game actually is superior to another game.
Not everything is subjective, broheim. Whether MM is a better game or not is subjective. Going by a technical rule-- improved graphics engine, use of the expansion pack, a world that is 100% affected by different factors in the game (in this case: the day, night, and time systems), deeper gameplay-- MM is a superior game to OoT. This is a fact.

Analyzing a game by its technical aspects doesn't factor for everything to me.
And what you mean by "deeper" can be subjective too.
Yes but technical aspects factor in to what the developers could do with the gameplay.
And seeing it's nintendo I really doubt they held back anything at the time they made this game. After all if you include things like masks and seeing how the world would react to each form then I could argue it added a much deeper level in that perspective of gameplay. While I am at it I would like to mention that the tone of MM was much, much darker tone than OoT.

This thread sucks.
I have to pull out Collector's Edition now.
