I like how no one is talking about the Nintendo 3DS Price drop

That's pretty funny, because all the people I know that have played it said that the new voices retain the cheesiness almost perfectly.

idk, i didn't think it was very funny

that's just the impression i got from trailers, reviews, gameplay videos, etc. maybe i'm crazy?

edit: Been reading up about it - evidently they got the majority of the old cast back to redo their lines, so that's definitely a positive. I still don't think they're as well-delivered, but I suppose that isn't really super important.

I just bought a red 3DS today with star fox and oot

I beat star fox on the hardest path already. The only part the voice acting really bothered me was the fight with andross. He sounds kind of stupid.

Also falco says "hey genius, I'm on your side" instead of "hey einstein" and it doesn't really flow as well to me.

I have the game but haven't played it because i'm dumb and not going to play it until after I beat oot3d but I heard starsock playing over voice chat last night and the voices were imo worse because they took out a lot of the campiness

I'm not saying that the new voicework is bad; i'm simply saying that I prefer the original.

COCKY LITTLE FREAKS just isn't the same

All I know is, they need to make Majora's Mask 3D ASAP. I dunno what they could add top it aside from updated visuals though. A boss Rush mode would be uber pointless since you could just fight the bosses over and over, albeit inconveniently having to restart the 3 day cycle each time. I guess they could make a MM Master Quest, but for only 4 dungeons?

Not sure why everyone says this. There are lots of other required areas that you have to go to before entering a dungeon. It's not the same as OoT where you finish one dungeon and you usually just go straight to the next. There's always lots of stuff to do inbetween before you even CAN go to the dungeon. A Master Quest would be great for MM because they could rework the entire game instead of choice locations.

I'd much rather have Wind Waker 3D made, although it won't happen, Majora's Mask is one of my least favorite. I already have to spend enough time taking shit from friends for OoT being my 3rd favorite and for liking WW so much. Seriously one of my friends would not stop talking about how AMAZING OoT is and how WW was a boring mess. He's so wrong.

it would be amazing if they made a master quest version of majora's mask that changed item locations and added masks and sidequests

part of the fun of mm is discovering things like huge rupee chests, then manipulating time to keep getting them - on later playthroughs it's not as fun already knowing where that stuff is, so just changing some stuff like that around would make another playthrough refreshing

I don't like oot's colors so far. Link looks weird and bright

Aquas on SF64 was also way too bright. On the N64 you couldn't see and you actually had to use torpedoes to light the way. On the 3DS you can see everything and using torpedo light isn't necessary at all.

Aquas being bright is a good thing, a very, good thing.
And if your main complaint about OoT is Link being too bright - your obviously enjoying it enough to get nit-picky.

(And holy crap I just watch An American Tail).

Well, I dunno. Normally that OoT comment would make sense, but considering it's a remake, there's not much to complain about but the graphics! I'm not sure what else they've changed yet, I've only beaten the great deku tree dungeon so far.

Aquas is kind of an annoying level but well, being dark and annoying was kind of its thing. It didn't make me feel on-edge when I could see everything and it wasn't as satisfying to beat it. I could see why you'd feel it was a good thing though, ehehehe.

There are some good and bad changes in both games, but they're all pretty minor. I don't normally even get remakes, but I got OoT 'cause I never beat it and I got SF64 because there's not much else to get, and even though I've beaten it 1,000 times, it's a game that I still don't find boring and it'd be fun to play while I'm waiting for classes to start. The 3DS is a pretty cool system. I just wish it had more to offer. Like a certain prototype.

Has anyone seen this?

http://ds.ign.com/articles/119/1193292p1.html

It should get relaunched if a lot of titles are going to be built around a 2 analog system. But yet, that will likely never happen. They'll add it to there updated version of the 3DS and just stick with the 20-30 dollar add on for now.

Nintendo can be a massive upset some times. I was going to get one like 2 weeks ago until I read this article.. haha.
