Hey its his game, not yours. Do you see Nintendo making games with Sonic the Hedgehog but no Mario? If you dont like the game dont play it, but you will miss out on alot! Perhaps he should have just kept the game to us on Mcleodgaming for us to play, because we actually want to play it.

EDITED FOR CONTENT: anyway, I don't understand why he woul put fan characters in the first place. I mean. I can SOMEWHAT (and this is a VERY slight somethat, by the way) understand how there could be acceptable for original characters like the ones from bleach and naruto (aside from narutarding) to be in the game, but a sonic recolor? No.

And considering Fancharacters are more custom characters, there not really meant to be smash bros in any way, because Smash Bros was meant to be for all-star video game characters, Not fan characters that havn't even appeared in 1 video game at like, all. Reason of that is because Sakurai wouldn't have the need to create a bunch of made up characters in SSB, that isn't the point of SSB, The point behing SSB was meant for video game, and possibly anime and cartoon characters who had major popularity fight each other to see who is better then who, not fan characters. This is the problem with fan characters, Which to be rather honest I don't think cleod sees.

Basically saying, Fan characters kill the idea of an allstar battle.

I don't think he cares if Smash Bros. was about a bunch of Video Game Characters fighting with multicoloured chickens, he'd still put his custom characters in his own flash version...

Honestly, there's nothing to be done. Just don't play the game! I mean I kinda refused to play it when they showed "8-Bit Mario" using his old school friends to attack.

You can't do either and than say YEAH WELL WE DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK.

By the way, those backgrounds are pretty bad, even the ones you say are good. Badly pillowed and bad colors. If you can't make good BGs, then I suggest going the simple backgrounds route, a la Loco Roco or Cave Story. It's easier, and much more pleasing than unpolished crap.

The gameplay is not bad, but looks like it's still a long way from being acceptable. The jumping attacks are hard to time, and the jump is unresponsive most of the time. And what is with the laaag.

Okay, remember the first ssb commercial? Remember how it said "play as you favorite Nintendo characters." 3rd parties are acceptable, but this game got to the point where there are more 3rd party chars than Nintendo chars. Not even a Nintendo char that didn't make it in a smash bros series. I call this game a smash bros mugen mod. Because this game COMPLETLEY AND UTTERLY DESTROYED WHAT THE SMASH BROS SERIES WAS ORIGINALLY MADE FOR!!

In a fangame, you would want to play as the characters you looked forward to playing as in smash but didn't make it. Not look and say "who the hell is that, OWAIT its a character I've never seen before because they've never been seen outside a forum until now"
