Mario Kart 7 (Community Code 44-1952-2691-6546)

again, there's still a possibility for DLC.
Personally I don't trust what Reggie says about it being final, but that's me. It may or may not happen depending on the circumstances at nintendo's EAD1

The portable roster seems to be very minimilist compared to any console roster, just look at Double Dash!! compared to Kart DS or Kart Wii compared to Kart 7. A console game having more content in it than a handheld game? How unlikely and unheard of.

so according to what shigeru says street pass and spot pass will actually be useful for the game by exchanging ghost data. you can race up to 7 ghosts or race different mii characters in grand pirx. and communities will be available. on top of those two things and the fact that the roster pays more homage to the original Super Mario Kart (and there are two rainbow roads FINALLY), this is the best mario kart to date where's my wallet?

Is it because the characters you start with are more or less like the original? Mario, Luigi, Peach, Koopa, Yoshi, Bowser, DK, Toad... Oh you may be on to something. Maybe that's why they excluded Waluigi and made Daisy and Wario unlockables. Is it because the characters you start with are more or less like the original? yes, because the starting roster has everything to do with why Waluigi is probably going to be DLC or not. I was referring to the starting roster but what does your last statement have to do with anything. anyways pre-ordered this today. My body is ready.

I found out that this game was rushed because they wanted it out in time for the holiday.
The team had a choice to either make Nintendogs + Cats a launch title or this game... well you know what they chose.

Maybe you should quit being so mad over the fact Waluigi didn't get in and stop with your silly argument. To be fair I wanted him in just as bad, but I'm not the one nitpicking one statement so I could have an excuse to bitch that he didn't get in.

I'm not really mad that he isn't in, it just felt odd to me, at least at first.
But now I realize what Nintendo was trying to do with Mario Kart 7's roster and I don't mind it anymore. I never really used him anyway.

Picking this game up tomorrow. Might talk about my first impressions then.
Waiting for Christmas.. maybe. I have the money but I'm hoping I can wait it out for a possible gift. I read this rainbow road is the best one? At least I see many people hyping the new rainbow road up more than ever.

Will also be picking this up tomorrow, though UMvC3 may distract
well I have a lot of first impressions after my shot in the mushroom cup.
Honestly, game play wise this game is like a blast from the past with new gimmicks to make itself look fresh, I've yet to completely tinker around with the kart customization but it seems A-OK for now. And I'm saying that in a really positive way. However I'd avoid playing it in first person mode since my huge gripe with that is that the motion controls in the 3ds doesn't really give it any justice what so ever, I find it more of a hindrance while playing it and it seems like you have no way of disabling it. However the only positive thing in First Person mode is the 3D effect and to be honest, that looks amazing in my opinion. track wise don't expect anything much different unless you're playing on a WuHu course. Now to be fairly honest the idea of having one long track is a fairly interesting one, if you are really keen to find shortcuts then you have a variety of ways to get to the end and I managed to find one shortcut that allowed me to use my glider for a bit. I also notice another one however I decided not to use it. In other words you can pretty much get from point a to point b many different ways. Also the track is divided by sections to tell you how close you are to the end, which is similar to laps but hey. I've yet to try the communities or online multiplayer. |
