I forgot that one of the Choco tracks were already used on the DS. I know that the DS was the game that introduced retro tracks and thought it was so awesome. Actually the GBA game sort of started the idea of retro tracks when it included all of the tracks from Super Mario Kart as unlockables.

I also wonder if they will increase it back to 5 different cups like it was on GBA so they can include more retro tracks. But then they would have to come up with even more brand new tracks, and I am not sure if they would want to do that.

One thing I will say is that they got better with creating different types of tracks. If you recall on Super Mario Kart only had 8 or 9 different ideas for tracks, and then the rest of the tracks were just sequels like Mario Circuit 3, Bowser Castle 4, etc. GBA only did that with the Bowser Castles.

I agree, the speedway one is a total ripoff.

Which track is Melody Motorway similar too? I cant think which one off the top of my head.

One thing I forgot to mention was how I am glad they made another track where it was raining (Neo Bowser City). There was a slippery, raining track on the GBA game which I thought was a cool idea.

I think he's talking about Music Park if I'm not mistaken.

EDIT: Apparently the translators sucked at their jobs or they felt that some of the tracks should have been a different name, Neo Bowser City was originally named Koopa City, Rock Rock Mountain was originally Alpine Pass, and so on.

Personally I think it's stupid they decided to do this but meh.

Far as similarities between stardust speedway from sonic CD and music park from this game go, it's probably a coincidence. The only thing that resembles anything between the two games are the horns but that's just about it.

Right, but do you know which previous MK track the music course is a ripoff of? I cant recall which track it was similar too.

Bear in mind that the reason why there were these "Sequel" tracks in super mario kart and mario kart super circut was because of the limitations they're consoles had.

However I have to say that even mario kart 7 had a sequel track if you count maka wuhu (since nintendo wants more emphasis on the miis, go fig). To be honest I think I wouldn't mind seeing more new sequel tracks in the next mario kart, or if there is DLC for mario kart 7. Hopefully we can get a better rainbow road that isn't balls.

You are right about the limitations of the SNES, I can only imagine what Mario Kart would have looked like had it been on the NES.

I dont mind sequel tracks either, but there dont need to be as many in each game. For example in Super Mario Kart there were 5 different Mario Circuit Tracks, and 4 Bowser Castles. Although I do like Bowser Castle tracks, it is probably better for them to do just 1, and make it superb like they did on GCN, Wii, and 3DS. But I wouldn't mind seeing 2 Ghost House tracks in a Mario Kart game.

Because then online will be the same as Mario Kart Wii.. You could be terrible, but just get some amazing items on the last lap and win.. I hated that factor in these games.

i am playing this game since first version of this game had revealed and continually i am trying new versions as it comes and i feel joy to play this game.Mario kart 7 is a really very good game.
