[In development] THE FIGHTERS RESOURCE progress thread
Has anybody else actually posted anything? Granted, I haven't read all 18 pages, but it really seems like Gors is the only active worker, much like TSRODIUS, and it feels much less like a community project because of that.

have you read the non-gors thread in spriting and pixel art
Thanked by: Garamonde
If you actually checked the other thread that was made int the Spriting threadplace, you'd see everyone's hard at work Genki ^_^

Why is it there of all places? If it's part of this project, it should be in Games Development so people can actually find it in the same board as its original threads-- either that, or there should be a separate GameDev board where every topic is housed.

You guys should at least have some sort of link in the OP that goes to each respective thread, if you have threads for this game in other forums. If there is, I apologize.

PS please don't think I'm just rising from the dead to mad-dog your guys' project. But this is a problem that has concerned me with tSR community projects for ages, and this one actually looks like it's going somewhere.

edit: wow why did that not line break into my previous post
Thanked by:
the thing is, I already planned this thread to be the 'official' one exactly to avoid problems of people abandoning the project. I am certain that I am going to finish this eventually, so everything that is posted here is 'set on stone'. The other thread located at sprites and pixelart section are for other members, so they can show their own progress; even if they fail spriting everything, the project will not die because of this one thread here.

When it's in the Spriting and pixel art, WHERE MORE PEOPLE GO, we can get much more done, due to more people showing up to crit, and it makes more sense being there anyways, since we're posting our progress on the projects, not the finished sheets.

Then the OP of this thread should be edited to include a link to the thread in the Spriting boards. It's incredibly confusing when threads are just sort of "separate" from each other and there isn't any indication of this in the OP.

It may seem like "common sense" that The Sprites Board Contains This Game's Sprites, but there are people like me who are used to a different kind of organization, who would assume that the artwork and such for this game would be in the same board as the host thread, or more people would post their artwork and such in this thread as well as the spriting thread, for when it's finished and ready to be put in the game.

Honestly, I posted the thread there because I assumed the majority of nonGors contributions would be pixel art.

This is Gor's thread specifically though, not ours, so unless we have a finished project, why would we clutter this up with projects that some aren't going to be finished. Also I remember a post somewhere in this thread linking to the new thread.

Then why isn't it in the OP? I shouldn't have to thumb through an 18-page thread just to find out page 7 or something is where I go to find everyone elses' work.

I understand that this is Gors's thread now that it's been explained, but there should still be a link to the Community Sprites Thread in the OP, since people looking for overall project progress are going to go straight here first (generally).

Thanked by:
Here's the link for the other members' progress. I'll be posting on the op.

Have there been any engines posted in any threads? I can't seem to find any and I would love to playtest so I can give my two cents as an action/fighting game aficionado.

Since this is a community project, engines should probably be being posted as often as possible. Not only does it allow you to create a more solid game earlier, but it'll also be a huge morale boost to all of the people involved in the project, since they will see their work going somewhere outside of videos.

Because of work and school I've only just recently gotten the engine to where I feel it's presentable for a demo. However I'm on a two week vacation without WiFi, so I can't exactly post a link.

Also if you look above your post I the suggestion thread, you'll notice a post I made which will influence the project immensely.
