Happy New Year! We welcome the year 2012 as we keep moving into the future. But what about the past?
We go back into the 20th century as we pay a tribute to the 8-bit era.
At the Locksmith, enter "pixelretro" in the Promo Code option to unlock an 8-bit version of Neko, along with cool, retro sound effects.
But that's not all. Remember the good old days where games were challenging and hid many secrets? The Cave Area is just that! Enter "bouncycatzero" to unlock this special 8-bit style stage!
Is there a secret path to an even harder boss?

Valentines special!

Axel, the famed guitarist of the metal band 'Cave Metal', suddenly got a crush on a kitty girl known as Konichiwa. Little did he know that she's Princess' alter ego. Axel asks Konichiwa out on a date, in the newly opened Carnaval Area. Konichiwa agreed on one condition: Axel has to join her and her brother, Neko, in their quest to end Waru's reign of evil... after the date, of course.
Unlock Axel: "cavemetal" (The second character that's not a cat. Axel is an axolotl and by pressing 'up' in mid-air while descending, you are able to perform a mid-air jump)
Unlock Konichiwa: "hellofromjapan" (Though a recolor with minor changes, her stats differ from Princess' and has different animations)
Unlock Carnaval stage: "midnightparty"

To be fair, I didn't really make a Valentines theme, but these fit the occasion. Also, be aware that now I'm no longer at Base Games, I have no control over such updates on Facebook or Twitter.
Why am I posting these codes without the company's permission? It's my game (and friend's), so I need my own permission. Asking myself permission is a little redundant, ain't it.

I have a few more promo codes I have to release. I'll release 2 around easter. Along with those there are two other codes left.
Once the last 4 codes have been released, I have no plans for updates.
I have yet to decide what to do with Bouncy Cat Mao (prequel).

Bouncy Cat Mao was made based on the critique of Mark Overmars, because I made it with the idea of having it published by YoYoGames, but alas.
Every level fits on a single screen and the game is played with mouse alone. This means you can play it with a pentablet aswell.
The style is now simple vector art instead of pixel art, also because of Mark's feedback. You play as Mao, a new character.
The story takes place X years before Bouncy Cat 1, when the forces of Demonlord Shinzo terrorized the Light World. Mao must survive an army of Animies (animal enemies) and defeat Diamond Golems from the Dark World before facing the Demonlord's eldest son, Catastrophe. By ending the Evil King's reign, all that stands between Mao and peace in Light World is Shizo.

None of the Promo Code content makes any reference to tSR, so no Gors. This game was made to be sold, so had to avoid copyright infringement. Sadly, no company wanted it, including YoYoGames.

What better way to celebrate the day of mischief by adding some hardcore FPS flavor to Bouncy Cat.
The code "catofduty" unlock wannabe veteran Ryan Duty. He's unique in that he can use a parachute to slow his drop.
The code "nextgeneration" is the exact opposite of the 8-bit codes! Battlefield Area is a warzone dominated by realistic, hi-def bulldog puppies. Brown-filters! Think you've got what it takes to capture that flag, soldier!?
It's like playing the X-Box in 16-bit! The future is now! It's war! It's PUPPIES!

The Forest Area is an adapted selection of levels taken from Custom Clash 1 and 2. Navigate the forest based on the first respective stages to find the sacred tomb "Block Mountain". A special treasure is there for grabs (nothing special, just another trophy), but it's guarded by a ghost. Are you brave as a lion or a scaredy cat?
