My older sister is apparently going to one in Providence this weekend. However, I was talking with a family friend and that he hopes my sister gets into a more organized group because he kinda things that this group doesn't exactly know what the protest is about.

FUCK DA MAN
I would used to have all over this, but as of late I'm better known for staying at home and just shouting at my TV... I'm an 80 year old man at heart.
I don't know much about the message though, but frankly I'm too lazy to really give a shit.
I know a few of my friends are doing this in San Francisco though...
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

I swear, this wouldn't be happening if America wasn't such a shitty country in the first place.

and I was saying that it only existed in the US?
Good for you, you literally took what I said and made it into a different debate.

And I'm aware of that, I'm not the one claiming this bullshit has only been happening here.

First of all I never implied that classism or capitalism was something exclusive to america nor did I imply that any other government's issue is the result of this.
These issues have to do with capitalism clearly, but why my opinion is getting twisted around by everyone is beyond me.

USA IS PIG
America is a fine country, but if you really meant "if America's economy and government weren't so shitty" then I agree to some extent.

America is a fine country, but if you really meant "if America's economy and government weren't so shitty" then I agree to some extent. That's basically what I'm trying to say, if the government in america actually gave a shit about our economy, stopped with all the bullshit and didn't bother to interfere with any private owned businesses (or any at that), then we'd probably not start all of this.
The people in our government have far too much power, it's going to be their downfall if they can't get their shit together.

Sadly though, of course there are a lot of average citizens with no real governmental power who are just as content with letting things fall to shit, or in worst cases even helping it along that path themselves by voting for and defending politicians that support policies that would do so. That's something that really needs to change. I mean, I think, or at least hope, that it's simply ignorance, but if that's the case then more people need to be educated on what's really going on in the country. As it is I've seen plenty of people argue that the rich shouldn't have to pay more taxes because if they have more money they'll create more jobs (Which clearly isn't happening.) and also argue that minimum wage is too high because if people are paid a living wage companies will try to save money by hiring less and less people or just flat-out laying people off. (Which is happening anyway.)
I'm fully aware that every country has its own problems, and there are countries worse off than America. I just think that if people still want to claim that America is the greatest nation on Earth, we could at least act that way and treat our citizens with respect and give people the opportunity to make a decent living for themselves. People having to work three jobs just to survive while student debt piles up and a single medical emergency could ruin them should not be the standard of living.
