I tried increasing the contrast between the two greys. Apart from that I'm not sure what else I can do to increase the depth, considering the scant amount of shading in the stock card and the palette limitations.

Jetters: Me too! That's Sumiyoshi Kizuki. I'm a huge fan of her earlier style, because the black outlines were a lot thicker, but her new style is quite different. The lines are waaay thinner, and not just black. It greatly resembles Kanako Eo's style imo, of who I'm a huge fan of. But it is kind of disappointing how she's gone the way of a bunch of the TCG's artists, and has normalised her style. Kinda made it bland and not unique. The few artists that haven't are Tomokazu Komiya, Miki Tanaka, Naoyo Kimura, and a few others. Oh well. I'll end my art rant now, ha ha.

the problem with machop is that his fins have outlines and the rest doesn't. Use outlines around his body too to increase readability.

i have been absolutely drowning in schoolwork since the beginning of the year among other things such as writing college essays and filling out college applications and work applications and projects and working my brain dead to maintain my spot in top ten per cent and mathematics club and science club and orchestra concerts and oh my god i cant believe it this is just SO INSANE

in case you guys didn't catch that the reason I haven't posted at all for so long is because I have been flooded with work so I haven't found much time to do much of anything. however I did manage to make some sprites since the last time I posted so I'll just post them here. for now I'm not gonna bother with the names and expansions since I was taking but a short respite from some essay writing, so I'll maybe do that tomorrow.
