And now the T is capitalised.
To make it stay that way I assume?

Here's how you know it's fake, in Japan the sequels always had letters for subtitles. Like Dairantō Smash Brothers DX or Dairantō Smash Brothers X
But I suppose you already knew that. Thanked by:

You're both wrong. Based on the trend of going from DX to X in the Japanese Versions, it'll obviously come full circle and just not have a letter anymore.
OR Nintendo might just, you know, do something new. It's possible. Thanked by:

They had Falcon & Ness be starters in Melee, then reverted them back to Unlockable in Brawl. Most people assumed that they would remain as starters, hence why some people thought they were removed until Brawl was close to releasing in Japan, when they were revealed to be unlockables again. It also made no sense to have the new reps for Fire Emblem and Mother be starters while the old reps remained unlockable; Even more extreme in Ness' case, as he was a starter in Melee. Lucas pretty much stole the starter role from Ness. It was also wierd that they actually reduced a series' representation, even if it was for good reason. Going from 5 to 4 Mario characters was cushioned only by the fact that Diddy & Wario were newcomers, albeit in sub-series. It was still only a +1 to the overall "Mario" universe. Meanwhile, Zelda has 5 unique movesets on its own, Pokemon's got 6... even if you consider all of the Mario sub-series as one, it's still a mere 8 characters/movesets, and it's pushing it with Luigi being similar to, but not a clone of, Mario. While Brawk may have broken some would-be traditions, it obviously set some up for permanent placing. One is the fact that the original 12 from Smash Bros. 64 will never be cut, with Luigi, Jigglypuff, Falcon, and Ness staying unlockable(Though in the case of Ness & Falcon it's still unsure). Point is, Nintendo doesn't seem to be "set" in anything with Smash, so the likeliness of them using a letter is not guaranteed.

Because, you know, Nintendo licensing his original NES game and him being the foundation for Mario's design and all that. (just sayin') Thanked by: Kitsu

I believe in a character number balancing.
If "Series A" gets this many characters than its only fair that "Series B" get just as many characters. Of course to do this you'd have to know what each series is worth. How many characters does a series need? And does that number increase based on the number other series have?

If there's skyward sword link and toon ganon I'm game.

Um I hope you mean Skyward Link as the new "Link" and not a separate character. Because that would be pointless.
