This looks A LOT like SSF2's Black Mage.

You sure you made these?

I somehow doubt the attack effects are done by you.
I'd recommend you avoid pillowshading, too.

The effects are rips from Mortal Kombat, see Sub Zero's ice shot

this is completely subpar, stiff and pillowshaded. you should work on the basics first before ever trying to make a whole sheet.

These are old sheets and the submission standards are higher now. If you want to put this one on TSR, you should improve. I would recommend to get some references (maybe the PSP versions) and study how the spriters made the cloaks.

Well, no one said dithering was a good idea,
but it would have been better than pillowshading.

And do not take that as a hint to do dithering, as it's still bad.


Just not as bad as pillowshading.

these are all of the styles iv'e tryed, but pillow shading still looks the best on black mage:

if you would like to edit the "blank" one, i'll let you, to see how bad i really am. i guess super smash flash 2 sprites are the best in the world (that i know of)
