The only thing about the new Yoshi Magic is 'rotations' do not take effect. It's not coded yet apparently...also is it right to release betas like this if they're typically closed off? Anyway, this is some excellent work, and I hope to see this project complete at some point! Everyone is doing a great job!

Aren't rotations just a single sprite... rotated? We don't need all of them.
I suppose I should have asked first; I had forgotten it was a beta, truth be told. I wouldn't go spreading this particular build all around, at any rate, but I think using it for sprite ripping is fair; besides, pretty much all of the actual editing functionality is in the current released version.

I wouldn't worry about it. I prefer having a non rotated sprite so that way the user can do whatever they want to it. And I know that this is the beta version, but some of the bosses aren't perfect looking. Some of the frames has a white square over it and their pallets are different (like I said on one of my previous posts). Also, These sections (whatever you want to call them) the sprites are a mess: E, 17, 18, 19, 1A-25, 29-2C.
Oh and I've finished Luigi! However, this sheet does not include the poses where he carries a fainted ally because it might take up half the sheet. It's enough to have it's own sheet. I'll do all that extra junk after I've done the solo bros. I may do Baby Mario next! And why I always manage to get sheets done around this hour, I'll never know. Ah...what I meant by 'rotations' were the 'in-sprite' rotations, such as the Shroob 'waving goodbye' or the little lasers Princess Shroob's throne-saucer uses. For the most part it's pretty disruptive as these parts overlap the main sprite and the component that's supposed to rotate sort of just...flies around on it. There are others, but for the most part they're not impossible to get in-game (Except Elder Princess Shroob's Soul's full sprites). Hopefully it'll be solved in due time, and I'm pretty sure it will...

dude.
that is amazing. how'd you get the effects and stuff out the way? Seriously, this is actually kind of intimidating, I feel tempted to have my Mario sheet removed just so you can be able to rip the rest. XD Also I thought we were keeping the seperate bros actions on their own sheets like MLBIS? Thanked by: A.J. Nitro, Garamonde

(04-27-2012, 08:35 PM)Wiiboy4ever Wrote: dude. Check out Jdaster64's post on the previous page with the download link for Yoshi Magic. It's real easy. All the animations are in there. You just gotta screen cap each frame it gives you. You don't need to play the game or anything, just the rom. Just try it yourself before changing your mind. Also, we don't really need to leave the bros. moves on their own sheets because since Yoshi Magic already gives you the separate poses, there's no need. Only the items will be on their own, like my Koopa Shells for example. Thanked by: Garamonde

So we could put all the Bros items on one sheet and the character sprites that go with them on another, maybe?
04-27-2012, 08:56 PM
That wouldn't work because 1, some of the characters use the same poses for some of the bros items, and 2, there are so many fire flower effects, it's enough to have its own sheet. I'd saw just keep things the way they're going.

Where it says Layer Mode, there's a drop-down menu. Change it to Non-tiled.
