I'm kind of late for this but honestly, I feel a little bit disappointed in game freaks decision to freeze half of Unova.

That right there tells me the game could be a hell lot more linear and less explorable than black and white originally were.

Huh? Black and White are probably the most linear games in the series ever. The continent is shaped like a circle, in which I you start at the bottom and go clockwise, there's literally no branching routes and stuff like the other games. If anything, freezing half of Unova may add new areas and alternatives to explore.
Still, I feel like they could have at least expanded upon what they had rather than removing half of what was originally there.

While I agree Unova is the most linear region out there, it just doesn't feel right that they're replacing existing content with new content and I don't see how it's going to make the game any better.

I wouldn't really count on us missing that half entirely, I'm pretty sure one of the objectives will be to fix this mess and then we'll probably have access to the area. But eh, guess it's better to wait than speculate like this Smile

Not to mention it's very likely it will unfreeze once you catch Kyurem or beat the main antagonist or something, doing what they did with the eastern half of Unova in the original Black and White. So meh, it might make the northern and eastern towns slightly less as full as they were before (or not!), but it's not like they're getting rid of them outright.

Here's this little thing for seeing the differences between the game maps, if anyone cares to look! If you look closely you can catch hints of things beneath the ice that weren't there two years prior, so the unfreezing theory is probably pretty solid.
This is very cool! I'm getting excited about this game

Really unsure which starter to go with this time, usually I like 2/3 starters but I still haven't fully gotten used to emboar and samurott. Don't wanna end up with snivy again. Buuuuut what I could do is just transfer over some old starters, but eh hopefully the game offer the pokes some new moves, maybe then I'll make my decision.

Neat, you can see what looks like a new area just right of the pokemon league under the ice.

Also, did anyone notice that new area on the mountain side to the right (most of the mountain is frozen)? Looks like you can get to it on foot, but there is a plane in front of it, and theres now a plane on the map in the town with the airstrip. That'd be a neat way to get to a location.

Also, any ideas where the pokemon league is?

Memes aside, is this a possibility?

I'm pretty sure it's an actual plot point, seeing as how the magazine describes it as being "frozen"
