First thing....I can advise u to use the search buttom on the forum before post.
Second thing....use the search buttom on the top...u will see that is quite difficult to rip models from ds games and actually the ripping methods are supported by few nds games. Anyway no one of the ns emulators support the 3d rippers ( in directx or opengl) except one but it's give u only some vertexs of the scene and
it leads to a not so good result.

I thought I heard somewhere of a NSMB model-editor-something that Treeki made. I might be thinking of the NSMB editor, though..

I know the latest version of Tinkie can render the BMD0 3D files in DS games. Can't export them, though.

NBSMD viewer is a opengl 3d viewer for some type .nds format (nbsmb =BMD0) but it supports only few games ,becuase it wasn't update in the years. Time ago i explained how to rip models from nintendogs on xentax, but here in this forum there are all the informations about it and how rip from this viewer.
The main problem is that there isn't a single method to rip models form ds games..it mainly depends from the file formats which can change from game to game.

There still isn't a (reliable) model viewer/extractor for N64 games, and that system's, what, 15 years old?

Some games/systems have formats that are very easy to crack/figure out. Others are quite difficult, and few people even explore them.

I wonder if the author of the DS tool Tinkie will ever have a way to export BMD0 models as common 3D files. It works for viewing most models, but some, as with these Pokemon Black 3D Zekrom files, don't look so good...:

Edit: I checked the thread for Tinkie, and OBJ export is planned. Smile

Thanks John2k4 for the infos , i didn't know Tinkie tool. Anyway even Console tool , a java viewer for nds games (the author is lowlines) in the next release problably will introduce an exporter for bmdl0 and other nds formats.

Good to know - I had stopped using ConsoleTool since I found its interface to be buggy at times, and the newer releases seemed to have less support for DS games than the old ones. Wink

You can get the latest version of Tinkie (Rev. 130) Here.

The problem of this method is that works for only some games and not for all version of the nbsmd format. For example the love plus nbsmd files are not supported by nbsmd viewer.

There is another method..but it doesn't lead to a great result.
The method consist of using HijackGL with desmume (in opengl mode).
In this case u can rip only the vertexs of the scene and with a script in maya u can re-obtain a mesh from the vertexs. Obviusly the model need to be fixed, and this method not rip uv maps nor textures (the capture models are posed). Actually I think that this is the only ripping tool that work ( not so goodTongue) with desmume emulator actually.
