I don't really care about Sonic as a series, so I don't really have a favorite. All I needed can be found on Sonic 3&K Anyway, so anything above than that is kinda alien to me.


But I do agree that some of the newer Sonic characters looked much more like a fancharacter because of how weird and nonsense it is.

I actually like Mephiles over Silver, purely because there's a reason behind him being a Hedgehog, which he ain't by the way, since he's a living shadow. I like the irony that he's Shadow's shadow.

Silver could have been a decent character if they hadn't milked the Hedgehog surname so much. Sonic makes sense as a hedgehog since he can curl himself up like one (strangely now everyone can!), but Silver is just a floaty, psychic character with Hedgehog slapped on. It feels... unnatural.

Shadow I can accept. His background is deep and solid, and his character is more complex than just 'Emo Sonic'. Still weird that he looks like Sonic, dispite the fact that he is an alien experiment. Hey, his design is better than just slapping a pair of shades and a jacket on a green Sonic, amirite?

The japanese for some reason really love Scourge. I find him to be cool looking too, even thought I don't really care for 99% of the Archie comics original characters (Or the cartoon original characters for that matter).

Also, about Shadow looking like Sonic, I've heard in some place that this is because he's based on a ancient drawing of Sonic beating up Perfect Chaos (I don't really know what game this appears, I guess Sonic Adventure?)

Yes, that's true. Still weird that the "faker" is 30-40 years older than Sonic.

My favorites? Idk, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman I guess, but those are rather basic. I also like Blaze. Idk why, I just do. Shadow is also pretty cool. Honestly, there isn't a sonic character I dislike except for maybe Silver, and even then I don't hate him, just his voice, but I've gotten used to it over time.

Blaze is okay I guess. Even though her fire powers and the fact that she's from another dimension annoys me, her personality and design are atleast good.

Anyway I came up with a Sonic fan character in the past I must amit, something deadly shameful. But when I look back on it, not really considering what I had made.

It was Clips the Lobster. His gameplay was based on swimming fast underwater and stuff. I designed him to be like the opposite of Sonic gameplaywise. He's slower on land but faster in the water.

At this point I'm not sure if Blaze is from a different dimension, or if she just mistakes the future as a different dimension or if after Sonic 06, she was stuck in where ever she was sent to when they sealed that monster away and she just forgot her past or something.

Honestly, I hate when games can't decide where a character is from.

As for her fire, it never bugged me. I mean, it's weird but I'd rather her have something somewhat unique over "Hey it's blaze the cat, she attacks with her claws!"

Well actually i don't really hate any sonic character really i think they are all awesome!!! BUT........ one of the things i hate the most are DIFFERENT VOICE ACTORS that's just terrible!!!! for example Shadow the hedgehog's old voice was WAY better!!! And sonic's new voice makes him a dumbass. really i think they should keep the voice actors from the old games like sonic heroes.

Even though, in both Colors and Generations, I've played alternating between them (watched cutscene 2 times with both voices. Since I know some japanese, the dialog is actually different a lot of the times). However, I can't stand the american VAs in Unleashed, so I just play it on Japanese.
