Multi-posting is fine in your own thread or in a project thread. Smile

I'd really like to help with this project, but my computer doesn't have a good enough graphics card to be able to play things in Dolphin Sad But you're doing a great job anyway, Allen Wink

My laptop isn't that great so I can only run dolphin between 20/25 fps. And forget about Wii games. They reach up to a max of 10 fps. I am more afraid on fixing these models after they have been ripped.

It's not as hard as it sounds. You just have to do it a couple of times and you get the hang of it. There's a photo tutorial a guy named Skorpion made. He's a member here and I owe a lot of my thanks to this tutorial. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: Here it it:

That seems very simple but, 3ds max likes to make the UV bigger if the image is bigger so that doesnt work for me.

You can scale the UV's back down. 3DS Max should have an option to scale all of the UV's I would think. Blank

Okay, there still isn't much activity so I'm going to change a few of the rules. Users can now claim 10 pokemon models at a time. However, if there is no activity regarding your claims in 4 months, they will be opened back up for claiming.

Also, I'm claiming 5 more
Suicune
Ho-oh
Mewtwo
Groudon
Relicanth
Articuno

Well, I don't think it's such a big secret that I've wanted a suicune model. Unfortunately if you want something done right you gotta do it yourself. Conventional tutorials didn't really work well for this guy. He was very tricky for fixing the textures. I had to reposition the uv map in some places to get it just right, and even then it was still a bit off. This is as close as I will ever get to getting suicune to look perfect.

AllenSword, I'm in over my head with this. I'm leaving, I'm sorry, I need to do easier stuff. That tells you how bad I am at this. Can't fix the eyes on Articuno. Probably not anything else. I'm giving up my claims. I will watch this 'till conclusion, if I can. Sorry again. *Bows*

Well that is a shame. I'll claim Articuno myself and relieve my claim of Relicanth.

UPDATE: I've decided to pause my ripping until these are accepted. It feels like I'm the only one who is working on these (not to sound whinny). I'm not giving up, just taking a small hiatus until these are looked at. I'm going to start programming for the gba in order to hone my programming skills so I'd like some time to get started on that. (If anyone has any tips for that pm me) Also I know some of you feel that 3ds max is better at fixing uv maps, and yes it does have an option to scale the uv maps. You have to bring up the uvw map editor. I found this link: http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/...w_mapping/ which shows the uvw window I'm talking about. It should have the same scaling features. I don't use 3ds max often so I'm sorry I'm not much help.

The rips themselves are fine, but I'm very interested as to what you said about having to modify the UVs. What kind of problems do they have?

Could you post a version of Suicune with original UVs? I'm curious to see what it looks like. In order for the rips to be the best they can be, the UVs should remain as close to the originals as possible, which means only mathematically exact adjustments. I have a hunch as to what the problems are, but I want to make sure.
