The arm proportions are better now, but you really do need hands. Now it looks like he's had both hands amputated at some point in his past.

How do these hands look?

When making hands, sometimes you don't have to draw each finger individually. At that sort of scale, just one pixel between each finger makes it look like he's intentionally splaying his fingers out, and that looks unnatural. I recommend you try pulling the pose you want, and seeing how your hands look when you do.

I was going for a Link-style item get sprite i.e. he holds the item above his head with his palms pointed towards the item.
I've removed the individual fingers now and have all his fingers together plus the thumb.

Looks a lot better, but the thumb is a little too low down in his hand, making it look more like a lump than a useful appendage.

Better, but his thumbs are now slightly too thick, try thinning them at the end by a pixel or so.

Narrowed the thumb by 1 pixel.

Sorry, I only realised later and couldn't upload the new one. Here it is.
I'm pretty pleased with it. I'm gonna do some more tiles next.
Riveted floor tiles. EDIT: Improved contrast. New versions on the right.

Could do with even more contrast in the darker shades on the bolts.

I probably won't be doing many sprites this weekend as it's my birthday today, but here's a quick update. I darkened the darkest shade more.
EDIT: Done a screw and nut. The items are limited to a 16px square. Thanked by: Gwen
