Well TBF she has bug limbs but
yeah, Belle is designed as a doppelganger. Her design may change a bit but she's mostly gonna look like Arisa I think. Thanked by: Ploaj

The skinny one.

I'm a little confused about why she's a bullethead in the first place, honestly. I don't think we need any more.
It's more harsh than I mean to say, but it's getting a little bit Silver-the-Hedgehog in here... (yes, yes I know Jetters) Can't you make her something else...? Thanked by: Virt, Chris2Balls [:B]

Make her a shotgun shell.

How else do you make a doppelganger character...? To be blunt here, all of TSR seems to want all completely different characters and nothing else.

Oh wait... She's a bullet? I saw her name and thought she was a bell. Whoops.

Guycott's idea might work (but I think you would have to work with details like the hair to make it clear she's more rectangular/cylindrical...)
it's similar enough to connect them but it's still different. I'd rather have a Knuckles/Nack/Fang than a Shadow/Silver. Not for something arbitrary like "must have different lol!!" but because it's more interesting to look at that way. I look at her and I don't...well, to be honest I don't really care. Which is kind of the exact opposite you want from a recurring rival character. She needs something more characteristic than being yellow Arisa. I mean, even Shadow and Silver have "moody demeanor and color scheme to show ultimate Coolitude!" and "dhurrhurr psychic powers." And wario, the yellow mario, looks significantly different and has stand-out characteristics of his own

If you need animation and dialogue for your character to stand out then you're not doing character design right.

While I kinda agree with dialogue, a huge deal of personality comes from animation. We're analyzing a concept here. It's a character that's supposed to be a parallel to the other, while she looks similar, she has elements that make her stand out from Arisa and animation will just add onto that, making it more apparent.
Let me ask you something, if they were both human characters would you complain about it like this too?

If they looked too similar, yes, I would?
Goku and Vegeta. Saiyans. Same color hair. Easy to tell apart? Different characteristics that tell you something about them? Yes Naruto and Sasuke? Yes Spider-man and Venom? Ash/Red and Gary? Literally every decent rival pair in existence? I don't get why we're defending poor design decisions because it ~might~ get better. She just looks like a flat recolor. Nothing about her stands out. Nothing about her design tells me -anything at all-, literally -nothing- except "yellow Arisa". I was under the impression that recolor characters were a -bad thing- (or else we would accept all the sonic fancharacters that stumble on the board) Animation is REALLY not going to make THAT big of a difference. It's just not. Unless she's a shape-shifter. Thanked by: Crappy Blue Luigi, Chris2Balls [:B]
