A lot of you guys seem to have been disappointed in Nintendo? I've been really happy! I mean look at the last two consoles.
Gamecube gave us: the Prime series, Wind Waker (in my opinion the greatest Zelda ever), Luigi's Mansion, Sunshine, Melee, F-Zero, Jungle Beat (highly underrated), Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario 2.
Wii gave us: Wii Sports (admit it, you liked it in the beginning), Galaxy, Brawl, Punch-Out!!, NSMBW(still a good game), Epic Yarn, DKC Returns (YES), Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Skyward Sword, Rhythm Heaven Fever.
Not bad huh?
Atleast for me.

One thing I loved about NSMBWii was the rainbow world, I think that may have made the game a lot better for me, because it's stuff like that that make we want to keep playing a game anyway. Is there anybody who wasn't excited when they first discovered the Star World (and alternate exits) in SMW, or the flutes in SMB3? I feel like the new games are too linear, people like hidden stuff, it's fun and adds a lot to replayability. As much as I love SM3DL and think it's a great game, having it go from 1-1 > 1-2 > 1-3 in a really linear way is pretty boring (it ended up being more linear than SMG2's world map).

I saw the first picture and was hyped, then I saw the other three and don't give a fuck anymore. I'm seriously starting to hate the constant re-used graphics, art-style, and level concepts OVER AND OVER. Unless they do something new to improve or add as an attraction (such as adding a huge exploration aspect to the game like Super Mario World and keep it pretty long, new power ups that are different enough from the current ones, new level styles and concepts, or add multiplayer co-op) I see absolutely no reason to buy this game other than the obligatory "New Super Mario Bros. is now on every system, collect them all!".
Can we all at least agree that having to beat every stage again with Luigi is not bonus content?

But... playing as Luigi in SMG & SMG2 made it even more fun.

Honestly, I agree with Jetters on this one. Playing as Luigi in both galaxies actually gave both SMG and SMG2 in whole.
Not because it's HURR DURR BONUS CONTENT (which is kind of stupid to say anyways since it was already programed in the game), but it did give a hard mode to something that was actually otherwise typically easy if you consider how Luigi controlled and the minor changes in certain levels. Like that purple comet challenge in toy galaxy where the lava changed into dark matter.
Whoops, just realized I made a typo in my above post that said SMG2. I meant to say both games, like Diogalesu expressed above.

I don't think playing with Luigi was hard at all. As much as I liked to replay the game as him, that's a really louzy excuse for replayability. Replaying EVERY SINGLE LEVEL to open the last secret one isn't really that great if you don't feel like replaying it in the first place. Also, there could be way more extra stuff in both of these games (although SMG2 has the S world which is really nice~).

Who the fuck said he isn't fun to play? He just stated it's a lousy way to enforce replayability.

Luigi is a fun character to play with, but nintendo should have included other (FRESH) content to the game to extend replay value (like how they put in the giant star coins in NSMB DS). They could also try to consider this, when making a classic styled Mario game, they shouldn't make the same worlds appear in each game. The least they could do is actually CREATE A WHOLE NEW set of worlds in each of the classic styled Mario games!

You know what would kick ass?
Playable Wario that plays like Wario Land. He should be the new Luigi (in addition to Luigi, of course).
Wishful thinking, but whatever. By the way, all that gold sure fits the obese anti-hero.

But then Wario would have to fart from what Shigeru Myamoto said.
