I've been thinking of doing World Of Goo, but I'd like to know which two of these if preferred:

1) Just getting the images and organizing them into sheets, just like my other sprites.
1) Putting them all into a .zip, similar to Super Meat Boy, preserving original directory structure (which in WoG is pretty organized).

All the images are already as .pngs so no converting or decryption is necessary, the latter option could be quickly done with a batch script. However if I should do sheets I can do that.

Do whichever you want really. If you're just not sure though, .ZIP'ing them would save a good amount of time spent organizing them into sheets, and would probably be easier for the users in the end. But it's entirely your choice.
Me personally, I think I'd archive 'em.

I was planning on doing zipping anyway since that's a bajillion times easier, just wanted to make sure it was OK.

And since it doesn't have one yet, here's the game icon:

To be honest, the hardest part was actually making the "Everything" icon icons.

Anyhoo, the rest was easy. A simple batch script (link to script I used for those interested) quickly copied every .png file of the game into a folder for me, which I subsequently zipped. The files are in the same directory structure as in the game, i.e. the .zip's root is like game's folder (where WorldOfGoo.exe resides).
By the way, the .zip is 33 MB, which I'm eagerly hoping doesn't exceed the maximum size for sprite zips. Otherwise I'll have to split it into bits like with the Layton voices Unsure

Yeah uh... just like with sounds, the max is 30... but it has to be under that because the system is dumb. :X

Why me Cry

Nah, no problem. Reorganized it into smaller bits, the biggest is Levels (24MB). They still include everything though, I haven't cut anything out. Updated the post with the new ZIPs and icons.

You Scratch Mine (Microgame) - 21/6/2012

WarioWare: Touched! (DS)

This was my first go at WarioWare: Touched, as always it was much more work than expected, but I got what I'm pretty sure are all the sprites. I might do some more this weekend.

By the way, you'll probably notice that I've adapted magentacyanyellow's method of posting sprites. I think it's really organized, lets uploaders know what console each game is for and also lets me keep track of when I upload my sheets. So yeah, I'll be doing that from now on if it's OK Smile

EDIT: Sorry, uploaded a version of the sheet without the alternative BG colours. I had actually edited it before I uploaded it, but forgot to export it as PNG, so I uploaded the old PNG Tongue Anyway it's updated now.

Ok, so I've played through the whole London Life game, and you are missing some characters. Melina, Janice, and Oswald, to be exact. Just thought you might want to know.

How correct you are, I thought I got Oswald though. I'll see if we missed them or they aren't actually accessible through Tinke.

Are Melina and Janice those two who are on the third floor in the Chess Dept. Store?

EDIT: Huh, I calculated and there should indeed be 76 characters, and we only got 73, so there are 3 missing. I dunno where they are exactly, probably around the middle somewhere, but I'll try and get them soon.

By the way, if it matters, should I put them in their proper place (since all the characters are in order of where they are in the ROM) or just stick them onto the end?

EDIT: Sorry, got it wrong. We actually have 76 characters (I looked up an old PM where I somehow concluded that 43 + 33 was 73), so I have no idea where those Oswald, Melina and Janice are. I'll see if I can dig them up somewhere but it might take a while.

Yes, Melina and Janice are on the third floor of the Chess Department store. Glad I could help.

I looked through practically every London Life graphic. Not every single one, since there are massive waves of ones containing all the different hairs, faces, clothes, etc, but I'm pretty sure that those are all in one bunch (i.e. not interrupted by other graphics). Seriously, I have absolutely no idea where these three people are. I can only conclude that either 1) they are hiding between the said chunks of clothes/hair/faces, or 2) their specific graphics files are differently encrypted, and Tinke doesn't see them as viewable.

I might look around a bit more but I don't think I'll find much. I'll see if magentacyanyellow has any ideas.
Anyway, ripped another microgame today:

Maybe because he's English perhaps? In the UK, it goes day-month-year instead of month-day-year so some dates that use the American system get lost (like the so called pi-day that only works using the American and the Japanese [year-month-day] systems). I think you might have already know it but just in case. Wink

Oh and I don't have much to say except that the rip is good and some interesting info regarding Professor Layton that the ripper has done.
