Try to avoid dithering, and may I ask, is that hair or a skull cap?

Hair. I was trying to do a Soap Mactavish look but with less mohawk, and I couldn't get the sides or the top right.

@Baegal [Image: iaza13228422035200.gif] like this?

@Animator Rex
The anatomy needs some work. Such as the body is small and how his face is just a circle. The sprite is to big compared to other players. Make it smaller. Also, the eyes are out of style.

I stopped working on the other guy, and instead put my OC from a game I'm trying to develop. C+C would help.

thats one hell of a bad and boring character desing.

and to add to the whole thing, throwing half of my special_1

Yeah, sorry about that.

I tend to think there's a certain amount of merit to be had from fixing the mistakes yourself, though, rather than just getting people to walk you through it all the time.

well yeah, there is
but only in the right context (when giving advice to more experienced artists for instance)

like, being perfectly honest
the artists here on tsr aren't really experienced enough to be able to know what to look for when you say "the body looks deformed" because they have no proper knowledge of anatomy
they won't understand what it means when you say their colors are washed out because they don't have complete knowledge of color theory
so you need to kinda take that extra step when critiquing their work and help them out, because otherwise it's just gonna be a lot of yelling at a brick wall - no offense meant to anyone here, that's just literally the result of a language barrier keeping someone from understanding critique

Fair enough, I see your point here. My bad.

Special #3!
Yeah, the white is transparent in some frames, but I'm too lazy to fix it :U
Any advice on how I should animate the statue bursting out of the ground?

The attack is intended to launch the opponent and the player in the air, either to knock the opponent off of his or her feet, or to start another attack combo (Special #1 as a pencil rocket, jump punch where the player throws projectiles, etc.)

Some moving rocks/rubble or even just smoke over the area of effect would probably fine, I'd think.

better Question Sick
Thanked by:
Biggest poblem are the head placement and the shoulder. Your head is on his right shoulder instead of his neck!

I made an edit, but keep in mind I'm not proficient with anatomy (and the TFR style) either.

you know
maybe i'm wrong

but i feel like neither of you are actually getting the style down
both of those (increasingly so in yours, previous) feel incredibly cramped and overshaded, where, this style from what i've seen is incredibly simple and has very little shading - if any.
[Image: R9tZD.png]
this is what i came up with after a few minutes
i'm sure i butchered your character, but this edit was more to give you a better idea of the style you should be going for. just remember to stop trying to cram so many details into your sprite, and you should be fine.

oh, and loosen everything up too. the pose, the shading, everything. your sprites are incredibly stiff right now, and this style is the exact opposite of that! everything i've seen from gors, meta, and baegal has been incredibly cartoony and exaggerated, use their work as an example if you need to (you need to).
its interesting how the whole point of the aesthetics behind the game was to be actually accesible to everyone.
I'm just going to ask outright if I meet the eligibility criteria to make a character for this

Thanks Previous and xXx HTE xXx !

xXx HTE xXx , thanks for your edit, but I do not think I need to do a cartoon style completely for my character. Have some more cartoon characters while there are others in a more'' realistic''. But if I'm wrong, you can leave that I will provide a more cartoon character

I made an IDLE animation with my new edition. I used the Previous edit to reference
