He said length. I think as in, the knee on his right (our left) leg is higher up than on the other leg. Try lowering that knee to match up with the other.

I made a new animation
I don't know , but now is better ? Now I use only 4 frames

You're on the right track with the head and frame count, but the arms are very short, and the leg movement doesn't make much sense. It's very unnatural to run without kicking your legs forward--right now it's like an odd tiptoe. Also, the torso should move with the head, so have the tie follow the angles that the head is at.
I'm not really great with walk cycles, so maybe someone could explain this better? (08-13-2012, 01:13 AM)Ridge Troopa Wrote: Scrolling though this project made me realize how out of the loop I am. Feeling kind of lame because of that, yep.OOOOHHH MAAAAAAN~ I hope there will be team based battles as an option(if this has already been discussed, excuse my ignorance for not reading about it). And whenever you select Ridge and I on the same team..a team name will pop up saying "Those M&L Dudes" or "The SuperStar Bros."...something like that. Also, I'll be making M&L Wario's head as an item. Thanks for inspiring me for this idea, Ridge. Since ya know..brought up M&L It's gonna happen. He'll chomp onto people's feet, making it harder for them to jump and make them slow down. Thanked by: megamario1234, Garamonde, Gaia, Iceman404, Kami

I don't know why my images are gone, they are still there on my account.
I will get them back up with an update when I get back from school. Thanked by: Iceman404

A new attempt at making the model overall smaller. Thinned the proportions to try to make him still look tall.
I'll tweak the model to perfection(approval) before bothering with actual poses. Go away, Ekoi.

much better than the original! What's standing out to me the most, though, is the face. Everything fits in the style except for the facial region. I think it's the eyes; they might be too big or just look too big because they're yellow, which could probably be only one color. Remember, simplify!
The thing about yellow is that it is difficult to work in a single shade when surrounded by a light flesh tone, as is the situation. Provided is a solid color version of the eyes in each color of that hue and black, along with a few attempts at minor shading.
(The only reason I am somewhat insistent on the yellow is due to the character's pupils being the color instead of black. I am trying to respect both the character's design and the game's style where possible) Also, I still hate the lack of purple on the palette that I have to work with.(but oh well)

Why do people keep throwing around CBL's older sprite.
Thanked by: Garamonde

Because it is still on their WIP sheets from back then?

and also because i haven't touched it in a while, so updates on it have been scarce and easy-to-miss.
i'll try to fix that soon. (08-25-2012, 02:37 PM)Iceman404 Wrote: Why do people keep throwing around CBL's older sprite. It's what is on the tutorial in the OP that is approved for style reference. As that hasn't changed since I originally made attempts for this project, I saw no need to replace the references on my WIP sheet. If it is truly such a problem then someone can contact Gors to update the tutorial image. Not that the subject is all too relevant anyway. Not trying to be a bitch here, but if you guys have an opinion on my sprites the critique would sure be appreciated. Thanked by: Gors

Why am I so lazy, that I keep puttting off giving the style a go.
