within the style and pace of this game, it's not really necessary to show the weapon materializing or being pulled from somewhere
just have the weapon exist and use it quickly to give the attack some punch and drop the framecount a bit Thanked by: recme

An idea for an assist. He'd deliver the equivalent of a falcon punch before disappearing, hehe. Thanked by: Paladin, Phantom Killah, E-Man, Sevenstitch, Crappy Blue Luigi, Iocus, TheShyGuy, Kami, Zadaben, recme, Garamonde, Sengir, Rosencrantz, Iceman404, Lexou Duck

I did stuff. Assist character Icicle. His attack is Future of Ice, which is like a regular blizzard, but it souds cool. Thanked by: Chris2Balls [:B], TheShyGuy, Kami, Iceman404

The cape doesn't seem to move naturally, its more like a piece of cardboard flapping in the wind than a piece of cloth.

I agree with AshuraAlchemist. Even though this game already has a limited frame rate as, it probably wouldn't hurt to add in at least one or two more frames, right?

Will work on the third cape frame when I have the time. For now, my time is up (brother's home from work).

After seeing all these sprites I wanted to attempt this style, C+C? I had a hell of a time with both the head and the closest arm.

I just took a quick glance, sorry, but his stomach is pillow shaded and the sprite is banded.
Thanked by: -Ash-

The shading is really awkward to the eye, in the visor or eye area it shows a reflection of where the light source is supposed to be, but the chest, right arm, and right leg (The character's right) don't react to it well. I will probably make an edit to show my point
The shading is too heavy to be in style, try to simplify. Here's an edit:
Even now, It might have too much shading, but you get the idea. I tried to tweak that white thing on the side of his head, since it looks really flat, but I haven't the slightest clue of what it is, so my interpretation might be off. EDIT: Welp, sorry David : V
@level 1 - wow I can't believe I missed that, I feel like such an idiot :/

Here's an edit: I was gonna do it, but I guess Iocus beat me to it haha, but yeah in his edit you can see a more simplified shading that works better with the light source that is being reflected on the visor. Edit. No need to feel that way man, we all make silly mistakes, just keep up the good work |
