Koh, Sony has the same restrictions patented and everything, they just waited to see what kind of reception Microsoft did, and then when they saw it was bad, acted like the people's champion. The fact of the matter is that they are eventually going to have those restrictions, whether people like it or not, I just don't think it will be with the generation of consoles.
Not all of the ideas were bad either.

The only thing people keep saying that about was the family game sharing thing. That can be done without all the extra layers of bullshit, though.

I'm pretty sure it turned out that the family game sharing actually wasn't what people thought it would be at all.
If I remember correctly the common assumption was that it would allow you to play a game for up to an hour per day, and the time limit reset itself every 24 hours.
The reality is that it lets you play the game for an hour -- period. Once that 60 minutes is up you're done and have to buy the game if you want to play any more. It's like a one-time demo.
(note that i'm talking sharing between multiple xboxes, and not different accounts on the same console)

Well this is kinda cool. Still has the same problems as usual, but still cool.
That sounds too cumbersome for playing a game. But still, this sounds like bringing mocap to our daily lives, and it sounds a really great idea. Kinda like Virtual Boy, which was shitty but it had an interesting idea.
I am not interested in playing games with that but I really wish them luck in their project

I just realized Nintendo's line of NES sports titles didn't disappear after their release...
...They became the Mario Sports franchises.

Didn't play the original Genesis game, but this does look interesting at least.
This has some pretty nice physics, especially involving environmental destruction.

So, Capcom only has $152 million in the bank. That's pretty shitty for them, but maybe this could finally light a fire under their asses and get them back in touch with gamers.

Good Deal, I'm glad to hear it
When your only exit strategy for a profit death-spiral is "More DLC people don't want," you're pretty much asking for it.
I mean come on, you'd think a company thats been around as long as Capcom has would be a little smarter than this.
If Nintendo is smart they'll make the big grabs at Capcom's key franchises and get them some new first party-third party games on roster.

By the sound of it, maybe Capcom is trying to file for bankruptcy eventually, because their strategies do not sound like good ideas to make any money.

They're getting exactly what they deserve, after what they did to poor Megaman.

So many people have a lot of rage for Capcom...just remember they brought us two of the top 5 Zelda games: Oracle of Seasons and Ages.

yeah old capcom did, circa 2001
the last 5-10 years of Capcom have been frustrating and disappointing
Shelving, cannibalizing, or outright destroying one's own key franchises is bad business
Bad business is bad for business, you'd think a business as big as capcom would have figured that out by now
