Quote:So many people have a lot of rage for Capcom...just remember they brought us two of the top 5 Zelda games: Oracle of Seasons and Ages.

People and corporations change.

I prefer to judge them by what they are rather than by what they were.

Oh but of course. I'm just saying they're not ALL bad. Megaman's suffered, but other series have flourished, such as the Pheonix Wright series. Perhaps Megaman is what needs to be in more capable hands.

I kind of feel like all of Capcom's titles need to be in more "capable" hands. Not that they've been coming out with bad games, but just that they haven't been coming out with complete games. The franchises (and their creative teams) need to be in the hands of a company that will put in the time and effort to create a good product, and not insist on stitching a backdoor store onto it.

There was a time, not long ago, when it meant something for a game to have the name of a Big Boy company tagged on it

It meant that there was care and quality put into this product, and you could rest assured that your purchase was a sound one.
It meant that when you put that game in your system and played it, you'd say to yourself, "good job, Big Boy Company, that's why they pay you the big bucks"

The big guys used to work real hard to make the best games they could, and scoop up as many "lil guy companies" with talent and good ideas.
There really wasn't "first party" or "Third party," It was "what system is it on?" When I played Megaman way back when as a young child, I would salute
Nintendo for giving me such a good game, not Capcom, Capcom was just another name on the box, and it worked like that.

A company's success in the video game industry hinges solely on the quality of its games, not franchises or merchandise or DLC. If your games are
no fun, your Name is tarnished, and Brand Loyalty isn't something you can rely on these days.

I beat Ys III SNES two weeks ago and what a terrible game it was

I don't even know why it is a series

Considering Ys III only, the sprites are very small for a game like that, the hitboxes are terrible, the physics are too rigid and often you have to wrestle against it to make a good jump. Also you can perform down stabs NOT by pressing down + attack, but pressing and holding the attack button. That's dumb. Also don't get me started on how the screen only scrolls when you are moving in the latter half of the screen

I also checked the other versions' gameplay, all being terrible. The Oath in Felghana (PSP) is obviously 'better' due to 3D gameplay and programmed from scratch, but I felt it turned into a 'jump like a lil' shit and slash enemies' fest...

He was in capable hands. Until Capcom execs chased him away with dumb corporate policies in a changing gaming business environment. Inafune basically just left a sinking ship. Capcom will probably fold later in the eighth gen unless they get super lucky and/or stop being dumb and give fans what they want (including stopping cancelling games for lack of fan interest when there was evidence to the contrary).

Gunpoint is currently $4.99 on Steam.
It's a pretty short game (it took me about 6 hours total to 100% the game) but it's a really good game if you like stealthy puzzle games.
Not to mention, that soundtrack.
Buy it.

Psychonauts is also on special, 80% off so it's now $1.99. It's a great game, and one of the few that I actually plan on playing a second time despite there being no difficulty settings. I even wrote a recommendation. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes interesting level designs, cheesy (yet funny) comedy, and just some good, solid 3D platforming.

The former President of Nintendo and the man mostly responsible for turning it from a card company into a videogame company, Hiroshi Yamauchi, died this morning.
He was 85.

I really want a Wind Waker on the 3DS. I don't even care if it's a straight port with slight Tingle Tuner modifications.
Thanked by: Gwen
Along with that, I want a Pokemon Coliseum (first one) on the 3DS

I want to see a "Gamecube Selects" series, especially downloadable.

I wouldn't mind paying another $35 to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door or Kirby Air Ride.

Though idk how they'd handle the lack of a Z button or C stick...
Thanked by: Gwen
Kirby air ride
it's got the analog stick
it's got the a button
it's got kirby

who could ask for anything more

I could actually go for like another 10 new air ride courses, but ehhhhh
