Personally I see the dig-dug one or either of the two Zelda suggestions as the most feasible from what I posted

Out of Dig-dug or Link I would say Link, seeing as Dig-Dug is primarily white.

Yeah, Dig Dug is too white.
Only problem is, although Link is more iconic and has a larger variety of colors, I think we're going to have trouble differentiating the hair and skin, considering they're both shades of brown
Would it be too much Mario if we just did a koopa?

If anything, I'm still going for Link

Yeah Link's hair and skin are way too similar to me. I'd go with Ice Climbers polar bear.

White's kinda hard to work with. Maybe Master Higgins from the Adventure Island series? There maybe more ideas than some..

Well Master Higgins' sprite is rather big in comparison to the others. I tried to find smaller sized ones as not to overload since the last one we did took forever (though the polar bear was just in case lol)

At any rate, we could alter some colors for the sprite if needed, the mario one wasn't strictly the NES colors

She's pretty big but the colors are decent for contrast

Yeah, that's the primary reason I pick her as I couldn't really find any other sprites that had a decent variety of well-contrasting colors that wasn't Mario-related.
