Redid Jest and Noot in a way that better fits the intended personalities of the characters. Also attempting to sprite Jest's buddy, the masked monk, but it's hard to get the details right at this size (he's supposed to look like this http://colorslive.com/details/205521-Foo...ntom_K.php )

On the Pokemario front, I'm currently working on Boogar, not ready to show it yet.

Dianne the magic floating boulder is awesome. Also, are you editing pokemon sprites or are these custom?

She was turned into a boulder by an evil wizard so she could watch helplessly as he killed everyone that she knew.

Also, the Pokemarios are custom, I used the sprites from B/W as a reference and for their palettes

Another attempt at the monk's mask (also a name maybe)

And trying to get down what a normal human would look like in this style, not sure if I like her proportions or not

Made the girl's body larger so it looks more proportionate to her head. She's probably about 5'6''/5'7", so the other characters are all really short (3 of them aren't even human, one is just old.)

Finished the girl (probably), started on her legendary martyr-hero brother.

Also some heads (3 sibling mercenaries, Jasper the Jester, some villagers)

A statue man and a bunch more faces

Wow, I really like those faces. Each one of them is very distinct, detailed, and readable, good job!

The armour on that knight so far is looking a bit shapeless, but I think that's just the way it's shaded at the moment. I'm having a slightly difficult time trying to read the design on the chestplate but I think it'll become clearer to me once you get around to working on it more Smile

dark skinned people can have lighter lips, so making them could avoid them from being too monochromatic. Also some parts of the shading aren't giving the character volume (see Jest's light gray vest, Choe-gi's lower part of the robe, the sad rock dude with purple arm).

Also in that same guy, the legs are too short compared to the body. Legs are like, more than half of the person's height (usually) so I think you should edit that.

I like the girl, though, her pose is really cool (though the sword blends with her sleeve).

random suggestion: try making other types of faces, such as blonde, curly hair, red hair, mohawks etc. as a training; i think it'll be really interesting!

some black people even have blonde hair

you generally seem to have your style of shading set pretty much in stone, your faces are the best example of this and your anthropomorphic characters are arguably the worst (it looks flat and boring
you seem to also really enjoy the darker colors, i can see! it's a cool style to have but you could use a lot more contrast and tonal shifts, right now most of your human characters read a little blotchy and have some readibility issues, not from bad line control, but because there's an excess of shadow that's not used stylistically

did some more shading on Jest and Choe-Gi, lengthened stone guy's legs, made some new faces and slightly altered some others. Will work on contrast and readability on the faces for the next update, probably.

Also, on the Pokemario front, currently working on Squirtroopa, but it's not at a point where I'm ready to show it.
