What scares me though is that Snake and Sonic being in was such a big step, yet I feel the same way as Koopaul and have a hunch that they'll be removed. When that happens, I'll have my shitstorm umbrella ready though.

I actually kind of doubt the designs from Castlevania Judgement (that were done by Takeshi Obata, the artist for Death Note) are considered the official designs, because they were done for a spin-off game and also drawn by someone outside of the usual work on the series. If we have Simon we'd probably have something closer to Ayami Kojima's (Symphony of the Night and many of the games since) design:
... though I'm not sure if that's much better.
I liked those designs :C
EDIT: Along with the one Crappy posted

Well, I personally really dig Kojima's artwork and design but some may say it's too "feminine" looking for a badass vampire hunter. I don't like Obata's all that much because it looks crazy mismatched and I don't think his style really fits Castlevania that well (we can understand they hunt vampires without sewing crosses taken off the wall into their leather jackets). Plus, his neck tattoos make it look like a 15 year old kid's head was grafted onto a 35 year old bodybuilder. But that's just my opinion on it.
I would still love to see Simon in any form in Smash Bros. (though preferably not the Judgement design) He's pretty much top of the list for actually-plausible 3rd party characters. Thanked by: Crappy Blue Luigi

Classic Belmont looks the best and would fit most.

Classic Belmont is ugly and gross.

I'm guessing there are a lot of mixed opinions here. I've never played Castlevania so I wouldn't know, haha.

Realize this: There was only Classic Pit when Brawl came out and it already had Uprising Pit years before that game came out. In other words: When a character is added to the Smash roster, expect the most recent design. I presonally don't care which version is better; not a Castlevania fan. I am disappointed to hear Heihachi (or any other Tekken character) might not be included, since me and especially my brother are fans of the Tekken franchise, Tekken 3 specifically. TTT2 for Wii U even has a Mario reference in it, the trailer of which starred young Heihachi and Kazuya. Not that relevant. In Smash Bros., models aren't just slapped onto a stage. Everything fits anything with a little work. That is why Toon Link wasn't cell-shaded.
