Damn traffic costs, right
As the grey plates are hard to make out at this scale, I'm for removing them and using blue, tuu. Thanked by: Gaia

@Goemar: Aah, didn't know this. Okay, carry on with removing them as Previous said.
I was going for a blend between the SNES and PSX styles. That way I'll have an easier time spriting certain characters *coughflamehyenardcough* in the long run. I wanted to have it so it could look juuuust about right, but I didin't want to screw up with the game's in-game pallete, so yeah. The style's a revamp, but I want to shoot for a more proportionally-correct X. I always felt the origional SNES style was kinda deformed.

Okay, got rid of the grey on the chest for the next best color choice, hopefully. Thanked by: Garamonde, Crappy Blue Luigi, Shinbs

Definitely more readable now.

X's Shooting pose is done and me trying to get a good fix on an origional teleporting animation. welp. Thanked by: Garamonde

Feels chunky to me
legs look uneven too
The shooting pose or general? Sheesh. I'm trying to keep it within the origional SNES' sprite's size limits (I bet this drove star mad with his New! Super Mario Kart project, keeping everything within the same size as the origional sprites and all) without carrying over the origional's flaws. Guess I got more work cut out for me then.

On everything.
His body is too chunky and ape-ish,and doesn't fit with the character at all.His head seems like it isn't round enough too,and his face is kinda eh. I think you should either slim his body down,or make his head bigger,to make things more "even" in a slightly chibi like way.But I guess that's not the direction you want,so I suggest you make the body slimmer instead.
Then this version should serve as the basis for Conga T. Ape then (the body, torso. Will make things easier for me when I figure out what to do for the head), so I'll see what I can do about that, as for now I'll get on this later as I'm currently working on an MS paint doodle that's fairly rather large which would serve as the basis for a character and hopefully a theme for future designs.

I say keep it if you are going for a bulkier megaman. But push his head a pixel back.
I could go with that. But most people seem to perfer the more modern, Slenderman X. I'll see what I can do, but for now:
These old sprites could use some love, and I have a use for them in mind. I just need to figure out what to do with some of thier design flaws and correct them. .. And their proportions. Dunno about the pallete though. I feel like old sprite asskicking.
The kitsune needs work, its body is too thin. It's neck is too thick, his rear looks a little bit bent, his tail is a bit stiff. I think you should give it a bit more left, make it feel natural to the eye.
I'm sorry for not critiguing the others both the Kitsune draws too much attention from me.(And the tail is bugging me way too much...) |
