Would you mind adding a few describing words telling us about what you're doing here? What's the plan, tools you use, engines, programming languages or environments, story, what is special about your Metroid rendition that makes it outstanding, whatever you've got? Feed us a few interesting bits!
Generally, please add enough description to a GameDev thread to display what exactly you are making! Oh, and please add how the controls work!

i like how the sole description of this game is "don't go right".
the screens look legit, though. I'll see if I can test this when I'm at home.

A few things:
It's cool that you're using Metroid Zero Mission's graphics (honestly, the most stylized of the 2D metroid games) but you may consider getting a pixelartist onboard to help you create new assets. Things I liked: Physics of wall jumping, morph ball feel perfectly spot on. You had either a good base or you're a talented programmer, because you implemented Samus' physics remarkable well. I wish you didn't use the physics from Zero Mission, though (arguably the worst in the series) Thanked by: Chris2Balls [:B]

It's Metroid In Game Maker 8.0 Has shift ctrl z x 1 2 3 4 b v g up down left right for control.

I totally know what all the keys do now, too. And what your base engine is. And anything. When you try to advertise your game, do it right. Present it well and make it interesting. Give people a reason to actually download the demo. Don't be all "Here it is" and that's all. Give us a reason to give your game a try and not the next kid's other Metroid clone. F*CK plots and story, that crap is for when you're finished. Oh yeah yeah and the "controls" UP you do know what that does DOWN you know LEFT man what can that do RIGHT I really forget what it does Z is shoot X is jump 1 lbeam 2 ibeam 3 wbeam 4 pbeam V varia B power G gravity ctrl Missiles A Switch missiles Shift Diagonal aiming No subscreen as of yet, I am still implementing it from my Fusion engine.

Your engine works well, but I think you can go further than just creating another MZM engine. I mean, you did call it Metroid Dread and I've been waiting for that game for ages.
How about adding: -sprint, like in SM -backpedal, à la SM -boost ball ability with slopes to test it on, boost off walls with spider ball -transport systems for the morph ball -the slash effect of a charged shot, à la MF -grapple beam -classic space jump and screw attack -working in-game map -anything else cool that could distinguish your engine from the others.

Well maybe if you'd actually read the rules of this board and actually tried to do more to showcase your game (which, mind you, would have helped your game) instead of talking to a staff member like he's a total dolt then you wouldn't be having your threads locked right now.
