Instead of working on animations, try to get one frame right first.
Give him a proper shape. He's a cloud made out of bulbs. Make him puffy. For example, his cheeck should pop out at the side of his head. Increase the contrast of your colours. Rework the shading - instead of using your shade colour to outline the bulb parts, use it to actually give them some volume. The left foot (closer to the viewer) looks like it is the wrong way around. Your arm stretching animation makes it look like his arm isn't connected to his body at all, but a seperate piece. I'd also move it down a few pixels. Moreover, when he jumps out of his pants, he should have a lower body and not be cut off. I made a quick edit to illustrate a few things. Others may be able to help more. Keep in mind I'm not familiar with neither the character not the style, though.
