Shiny Pokemon Encounters

I've witnessed four legitimate shiny sighting, but can really only claim one.

The one I found was a Zubat in the Dewford cave while I was level grinding. I don't think I've ever been so nervous.
The other time was last week actually when I showed my cousin my Japanese copy of B2. The second she walked in a patch of grass, shiny magnemite. We caught it, but I'm letting her have it because she found it.
The other two were when my brother felt like playing someone else's games. He started over my cousin's SoulSilver and manages to find a shiny Cyndaquil.
The other time was in my Leafgreen, he found a shiny Nidorino in Safari zone, but it ran away...

I'd love a Shiny Zangoose, I had a shiny Luxray through a trade, but lost my copy of soul silver :C
The only shiny I ever found was a butterfree back in gold but I didn't have enough pokeballs :CCC

Come to think of it back when I was making a shit ton of new save files on My Sapphire version a long time ago I managed to encounter a shiny Wurmple, except it was at the beginning of the game and I had no pokeballs to catch it.

I was so pissed that happened because it felt like I got trolled.

Would like: A Shiny Espeon (or an Umbreon because black and blue look sick together)
and a Shiny Dustox.

Sometimes I get paranoid that I miss a shiny pokemon when I start doing things like EV grinding or just constantly running in an effort to get somewhere, because occasionally I'm not even looking at the screen. As far as I know I've never met one that wasn't event based or part of the story.

The first shiny I caught was a Ratata. I was disappoint. Of course, I'm not including the Shiny Gyarados here.

On my Pearl version, I have a Shiny Pelipper that I found randomly.

On my Soul Silver, I was training my Raichu in Silver Cave with the fishing rod. I was really annoyed when a shiny popped up, because it was another Gyarados. It's typical that I have 2 shiny Gyarados' on that game, and one isn't from plot.

Also on Soul Silver, I have a shiny Farfetch'd called Miku. Hopefully someone will understand why I called it that...

Not counting event pokemon and Gyarados, I've never found one. My little bro found a shiny Pidgey in Gold though.

My first was a shiny Machop in Sapphire, I think. I also found shiny Bibarel in Diamond, shiny Rattata and I hatched a shiny Aerodactly in HG.

My first and only not event Shiny that I've caught in the wild, or even seen in the wild was a Shiny Exeggcute.

All the other shinies I have are from GTS negotiations.

So I restarted my leafgreen, guess what the first pokemon that pops up when I can't get pokeballs, it ends up being a shiny pidgey. First time I encountered another kind of shiny pokemon of the same species. Though it' the first one I've encountered in years.

Shiny Bibarel in Pearl.
Shiny Teddiursa and Geodude in Soul Silver.

I find it amazing that I've clocked in about 75 hours per game (Silver, Crystal, 2 play throughs of Sapphire, Emerald, Leaf Grean, Pearl, Platinum, Soul Silver, Black, Black 2), and I've yet to find a single shiny. Thats nearly 750 (give or take) hours total, and I don't skip wild battles either. I must have some bad luck.

I've only found a shiny bellsprout in silver or gold, but I think I accidentally killed it somehow...

not that it matters anyway since my GB games are all dead

I think most shinies are pretty ugly, so I can't say I'm even interested.
