That said, having possibly encountered 4000+ Mareep, still no shiny Mareep

I was just strolling along and found a shiny Gulpin. Too bad it had Sticky Hold and a bad nature.

My chain record is 15! It's very difficult for me but I'm improving.

I've gotten the higher pitched music twice already but while I'm recharging and constantly hoping for shaking patches the music just reverts back to normal.

No shiny Mareep still, curse my luck.
I did catch a shiny Goldeen (now Seaking) by chain fishing for variety.
My normal Ampharos is level 97 now (started from level 30-35 or so), mostly from grinding Mareep and Wingull hordes. There are some experience points from one Pokemon League run and Restaurant to train the Goldeen, but I think it's safe to say grinding Mareep gained him 50+ levels alone.

HGGNNNGH I JUST...Got two shiny Basculins and a shiny Poliwhirl through Chain Fishing, i DON'T EVEN-

this is the first time i got more than one shiny through chain fishing so OH GOD

I chain fished for over an hour hoping for a shiny Horsea and expecting another shiny Skrelp, after so long A SHINY HORSEA appeared, I was so surprised! yess!

I remember, my first shiny was a miltank in Gold. Don't have x or y yet but I have a few on black and a shiny ponyta on black 2 (if I remember correctly, I'm not about to stand up)

Caught a Shiny Clamperl and am on a mission to catch a Shiny Dratini.
Caught a Shiny Basculin while hunting for the Shiny Dratini, but that's okay. I now have both the Red Stripe and the Blue Stripe Shiny.

Need Deep Sea Scale (I can fish for Huntail in X), but the Pokemon carrying them are not so common. Reminds me of yersterday, while looking for a King's Rock, got a Shiny Basculin (the previous, Blue Striped one) before I got the Rock. Forgot to mention that Basculin before, but can you blame me? The "other green" is not a spectacular change :/

I have bad luck with Shiny Pokemon. My first shiny was a little blue gulpin. I traded him to diamond and that games save file was deleted. Next was a shiny zubat, which is in my Heartgold. I found a shiny hoothoot BEFORE you could get pokeballs in Silver. I recently have found a shiny hariyama and poliwhirl in Pokemon X.

Borrowing my friend's Pokemon Black in preparation for the Poke Transporter/Pokemon Bank. So far, all Pokemon I had in Platinum that I didn't in X has been moved to Black.
My friend told me I could have that game's Reshiram, Kyurem, Victini and the musketeers, because he also has Pokemon White 2 (in case of Victini, he has both event ones. I get the Liberty Island one).

So why am I posting this in the shiny topic?
While hunting for an Elgyem to bring to X, a Shiny Litwick just popped up. Got it in the Quick Ball! That's the second Shiny I caught in this game, the first being the Shiny Golett I caught 2 years ago. He can keep the Golurk, but I'm taking the Litwick.

Okay besides getting 3 more shiny Remoraids this morning ( already had 2 ), I finished the game and made me first step into the oh so lovely Friend Safari

Found a shiny gulpin while HP EV training. It's so awesome, decent nature as well.

edit: MAKE THAT TWO SHINIES! SHINY GOOMY WHILE I WAS HATCHING SOME EGGS.

edit2: For a cherry on top, I got the master ball at the lottery! Yesterday was just my lucky day.
