Other people already chimed on this for me but... you can't be serious. I'd say it's probably the worst thing yet and that's impressive considering the iPhone MMX.

Yeah yeah I know. Everyone thinks I'm crazy. It's just a side-scroller shooter that most people would deem even worse than Sonic '06. But you know what, it's not the worst game that was ever made in existence. You can say it is, but you know you've seen worse things in your life. Is it the worst Capcom game (next to the iPhone remake)? It probably is, but it's not the worst thing in the history of the universe. Even I've seen worse. I'll just go and say why I'm like this: the thing is, I don't think Mega Man is dead. I think they will surprise us one day in the future with something we never expected. It's happened before with other big franchises after all. They may also not but we will just have to see what happens. You can try to convince me there's no hope but you can't. I'm way too attached. Again I'm the only one who feels this way but that's okay.

Well I wasn't saying it's the worst thing in the history of ever. I was speaking in terms of it being the worst thing Capcom squeezed out from its buttcheeks yet.

I feel pretty attached to Rock, myself... but my cynical side has taken over.

Rockman is (X)over and I'm fairly sure this was done merely to spite Infaune. However, if I'm surprised with something good again, great. I'd like to hope I'm wrong in the end but I'd also hope Inafune somehow claims the rights to the Megaman franchise and can do something proper with it again.

You didn't read the entire post, didn't you?...

I'm basically saying that even if Nintendo has been doing fairly terrible with convincing gamers to buy some of their games (take New Super Mario Bros. 2 for example). They can at least let their studios like Game Freak have a good amount of creative control over their franchises, that as well as advertising.

That's why I'm saying Capcom might as well sell the rights to the Megaman franchise to Nintendo if they're not going to keep on supporting it. It won't happen but I'd much rather see it happen then let the Megaman franchise die.

I agree that this may be their lowest point and that they were at their peak when Inafune was there. I just am not willing to give up on the series.
The only thing I'd be concerned about if Nintendo/Game Freak got Mega Man was how they would change it...
The next thing you know we'd have MMX x Pokémon or MMX x Mario *shudders*.

What? That doesn't even make sense. Nintendo has done relatively few crossovers outside of cross-specific games like Smash Bros. and games which take place in the same universe (Mario vs Donkey Kong).

Actually, the only legitimate Nintendo crossover I can think of that wasn't a cameo is that Pokemon game that had the samurais in it.

I uh, didn't play it but said that the game didn't LOOK that bad, from the screens

but based on what I understand of it it'll probably not be as good as every other game they've made since it's an iPhone game with what look like filtered graphics

I already know though that they can do better than that which is why everyone is complaining I think, but at the same time that doesn't mean it's the worst thing ever

Well, no, but regardless of what they're capable of, this really is just the worst thing ever. Like, this is hilariously bad. None of the features I've read about for the actual game sound like they'd improve anything either. This isn't a matter of "they can do better," it's a matter of "this is legitimately terrible."

But it's an iOS game. I really couldn't care less to get mad about this.
