End of Wii Top Ten List
#31
Oh boy here we go

10. New Super Mario Bros Wii
The first multiplayer 2D Mario, something people have been waiting for

9. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Pleasant game, I just wish it didn't keep holding your hand 100% of the time (leading to some irritating design choices)

8. Mario Party 9
After the blandness that 8 was, this one is really full of energy and charisma (more than the main Mario series even). I would have ranked this higher, but...it's Mario Party, it's not exactly deep.

7. Super Smash Bros Brawl
I really really like Brawl, but the other games on this list are way too amazing. But if anything, tripping makes it deserve this spot.

6. Super Paper Mario
Might have been ranked higher if it wasn't so easy. The music and stages rock though. Too bad the art direction on Flipside things and people is kinda annoying (but not too much) and Pixies weren't as memorable as partners.

5. Rhythm Heaven Fever
One of my favorite rhythm games ever. It's just as good and fun as the other Rhythm Tengoku games, but now on the big screen.

4. Sonic Colors
Basically what made Sonic gain his respect again. This is a really good game, anyone who hates the "auto-mode" modern era should play this and be amazed.

3. Kirby's Return To Dream Land
I just...I just really love Kirby and this is what I've been waiting for since the cancelled GCN game. It has it's flaws, but it's a really fun multiplayer experience!

2. Wario Land Shake It
I wanted to put this on spot 1, but welp. This game is basically what I always hoped the future of 2D games would be. Maybe it wasn't as deep as the other Wario Land games, but everything in this game is done gracefully, from awesome art direction to great sound track.

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (and 1 too, I guess)
Well, yeah. This game is just too good. The (rehashed) sequel even managed to be greater than the original. Can't say I'm surprised that this is not on many lists though.

Special mentions:

Donkey Kong Country Returns:
Might be a better game than NSMBW, but honestly I had more fun with that game than this one. It's not bad though, it's great, otherwise I wouldn't be mentioning it.

Punch-Out:
Something about this game, I really love. Be it the different fight themes, or the rematches. It may not be a 50$ game, but it's still a fun one anyway.

Zack & Wiki:
I can't even remember WHY I got this game, but I was never disappointed. The puzzles and stages are really fun.

Wario Ware Smooth Moves:
I was kinda really excited for this game and, well, it is really good, but it's Wario Ware and it ends quickly. I still play it time from time though.

Muramasa:
Well, I didn't play it, but I played Odin Sphere and loved it. And friends played this and liked it too. I really love the art style and feel. Like Wario Land Shake It, this is the future of 2D for me.

It was the blandest and most unfair and unfun one. At least it had good online though.

though xenoblade might compensate.

Rabbids was one of the first games I played on the console, and I played through it with friends. At the time, had an amazing time with it. The supply of games was limited, but it held my interest from start to finish. It was enjoyable.
Wii Fit Plus I was questioning whether to put on, since it's not really a game. I use it more for exercise, and it had good functionality as a graph to show my weight while I tried to get a bit more fit. It did a good job of working my leg muscles, and the exercise videos were helpful to go along with... Have you used it regularly and with purpose, as to judge on that same scale?

Also, Mario Kart Wii is on there because of all the Wii games, that and Smash Bros are the two I played the most. It's not as good as double dash, but I never owned 4 GC controllers, and this is a Wii list...

Additionally, these are from the games I have played for more than 20 minutes.
Tsunami Bomb - The Simple Truth
We could run away
Leave behind anything paper
Not knowing where we're going to stay
When there's no Mondays

You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
When I'm in your arms, I feel safe from harm and sorrow too
You're part of me, it's so easy to see the simple truth
But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
2. Monster Hunter Tri
3. Mario Kart Wii
4. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
5. Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing
6. Sonic Colors

That's about the list of games I have worth mentioning. I've been using it as a replacement GC aswell, but now my Wii's disc drive is busted, so time for the Wii U to continue that legacy. (I know U doesn't read GC discs. Maybe I'll find a cheap GC on some blackmarket).

10. Sonic Colors
9. NSMBWii
8. No More Heroes 2
7. LoZ: Skyward Sword
6. Super Mario Galaxy
5. SSBB
4. DKC Returns
3. Kirby Returns to Dreamland
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
1. Okami

Yup, Okami for the Wii is the only game i've ever played through 4+ times, so I think it deserves to be number 1 on my list.

Okami is another one of those games where the original version played so much smoother.
I still have no idea why they didn't include classic controller support.

I never had any issues with the Wii version. Then again, I didn't play the original so I didn't have anything to compare it to.

It's just my usual "why waggle" complaint. the controls were so much easier on the ps2, at least in my opinion.
As a matter of fact, that's pretty much what has ruined any Wii game experience for me. I can't get over the
fact that pretty much every game on the wii, barring a slim few, would function much better if I could just use
a blasted controller instead of having to flop my arms everywhere the whole time I play.

gimmicks. is what hooked people in the first place, though it never was particulary fun to do.

I don't understood the complain about that. Sure, it sucks sometimes, but I see it as something that was actually very intuitive, especially in games like Super Mario Galaxy and NSMBWii. Jumping and shaking the controler just felt natural for me, idk

Yeah, but in the case of say, Okami or Twilight Princess, where the function of what WOULD be the A or B button on a normal controller is instead set to waggle AKA "the gyrometer's picking up friggin' anything" it becomes the absolute opposite of intuitive (why press a button when you can shake a stick) and just felt like something worthlessly tacked on because it's on the Wii. Thankfully they seem to have made the attack button what it's supposed to be, a button, for the Move controls for the HD remake of Okami, making it probably the quintessential version of the game (and, hopefully, the last time I ever give money to Capcom).

I will agree that there are games that actually used the Wii remote really well (I tried playing No More Heroes on the classic controller and it just felt soulless and I won't play any other version of RE4 anymore) but you have to admit there were some pretty shitty applications of it as well.

My complaint is with forced waggle, not waggle in general.

Easy
Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros Wii (since it's multiplayer co-op is what made the game actually worth it), No more heroes, Mario Kart Wii, And just barely: Super Smash Bros Brawl.

If this was a gamecube list, then it'd probably be more like Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Starfox Assault, Kirby Air Ride, Pokemon XD, Animal Crossing, And Super Smash Bros Melee.

Melee being the best out of all of them.

Mario Kart lost it's soul, fun gameplay, and competitive physics/controls after MKDS.

Mario Kart 7 actually improved a lot. Still not quite there, but much more enjoyable than Wii and DS.
