GameFreak getting lazy?
#61
I love the pokemon series. It was my first favorite anime and video game series. But... I think it's time to say farewell to Pokémon. Pokémon is awesome! It's a best-selling Legacy. But... It's not like Legend of Zelda, Mario and Sonic. Those can live to 10 years later. But i tihnk that cause' of Arceus, they would stop with the series. Is it not annoying that you have to wait 2.5 years till you know all the pokemons of next gen and then 1 year more to know their English name.
If there will be more Pokémon then i will still buy it. Even if it is boring at the end. It always will rule, tow...

Technically, it says that Arceus created the Universe. It NEVER said anything about creating Pokemon. And mew is still considered the ancestor of ALL pokemon. So...

Actually, Arceus was said to be the creator of Palkia and Dialgia who then collided to create the universe.

...Let me rephrase that.

Someone can create somthing, but you can pass down the rights of the creation. And mew is the ancestor of all pokemon. So maybe, Arceus used mew to create Dialga, Palkia and the Pokemon of the universe. In other words: Arceus is the painter, and mew is the brush.

So... Arceus -> Mew -> other Poké
-> = Create's

Or could it also be...
Arceus -> All Legendary's (the ones who cannot be used in Battle Tower) ->(Mew did this!) Other Pokémons.

I think i go for option 2 :>

That's not the same, Zeus was just the ruler of one set of gods, he was never the creator.

But it is a good point, because something that is the same is the gods that came before him.
Kronos is time, and the father of the Olympians (Zeus, etc.).
Gaia is Earth, and mother of Kronos.
Then there's Chaos, Aether, etc. who are all upper-gods in their own right.

I suppose they could be linked; Gaia is Arceus, Kronos is Dialga, and Zeus is .. Mew?

Whoever invented the Greek Gods went overboard more than Pokemon has so far.
There's a few dozen Gods and Goddesses, one for anything you can imagine.

God, I want to play Age of Mythology so hard right now.

Arceus' actual classification is the "creation" pokemon, and was supposedly born before the universe started. And created the universe. So it still breaks the 'Mewbeingancestor" deal.
Pokemon is filled with holes, we just gotta accept that. Why is kangaskhan's baby in it's pouch when kangaskahn is breeded? When Breeding a female Marowak to get a baby cubone, why doesn't it die? Additions in each game clears things up, but at the same time creates new paradoxes/holes.

On the gamefreak getting lazy part, yes they have. They have so much money, that's all they care about, they feel they don't need to add anymore effort since pokemon is making a lot already. Platinum sold 1 million in 3 days, they're still making money none the less. I for one want a drill dozer sequel, I love Jill, she's so cute.

Why would it die?

also I wonder what versions they'll do next

My previous suggestion, earth and sky (With seafoam-ish green and sky blue as the colors) would be pretty good, imo.

I, for one, am hoping for a Wii version that's fully 3D like the colisseum games, except is an actual pokemon game, instead of a Stadium remake with a story and a pre-set list of catchable (actually stealable but w/e) pokemon.

Some Pokedex entries say Marowak dies giving birth. This isn't really consistent with the games since Team Rocket supposedly killed Cubone's mom in Lavender Town.

Never once in any game does a Pokemon ever gives birth. Gamefreak tries to dodge that by saying eggs "just showed up" in the Daycare. So, Marowak never has a reason to die outside of obvious implications.

That said, here's another point... How does a Pokemon die when it survives having (horn) drills put into them, several thousand volts of electricity, getting attacked by Lava and Eruptions, Frozen solid by something not cold enough to cryofreeze, caught in an explosion, caught in another explosion, tossed in a fissure, poisoned, severely poisoned, making sweet love to a whale, getting physically attacked by anything the size of a two story house or larger...

I figure it's impossible to kill a Pokemon and that they can only die of old age.

But don't forget, Team Rocket supposedly "killed" a Marowak in pokemon red

I don't understand that either. Therefore this causes a paradox in the pokemon universe. So like Subomi~Chan said, the Pokemon universe is filled with holes.
