Sevipers eat Zangooses? I thought Seviper had a weakness to Zangooses?
It's just a reference to how mongooses can kill a cobra in a fight.
And yeah, they screwed up the logic in the games and anime.

In the games, Seviper is a poison type, and Zangoose's ability is the immune ability, meaning it can't be poisoned, so it does give it an advantage over Seviper, if not then balances them out, that's the real reference right there. They're rival pokemon, they don't eat each other, just fight each other. Idk where the eating part came from.

Oh, okay. I'm not aware of the new developments in Pokemon.
But, yeah, Sevipers don't eat Zangooses.
Do Miltanks eat Oddishes and Bellossoms?
Well, bottom line is, you'd need to suspend your disbelief a lot with Pokemon.

Wait, that's right, there used to be sources that said certain Pokemon preyed on others. And in the cartoon, they refered to Magikarp being edible more than once.
And wait, in Poke'mon G,S,C, they said the three legendary dog pokemon perished in the fire that consumed that one tower. DO'H, where has my mind been?
Oh, and wait, there was a magic god pok'emon who created the universe? I'm surprised strict Christians didn't get upset by that, since they're dumb enough to think Harry Potter promoted Satanic stuff.
PS, Woo! 300th post baby!

The question is... Do humans eat Miltanks?
Because that would be awesome!

Nah, I heard they send Tauros to slaughterhouses.
Though I can't prove or deny that.

PS, Woo! 300th post baby! The anime stated that magikarp wasn't edible, in season 1 team rocket wanted to eat james' magikarp and meowth broke his teeth trying to bite him. That's why its the most useless pokemon, can't do shit, can't be eaten. Also 3 random pokemon died in the fire, ho-oh gave them life and they reincarnated into the 3 beast. And yeah im surprised christians didn't do anything either, there's a church in DPPt.

They did do something.
iirc just as Diamond came out there was a slight uproar from the church, but not as big as it was in the earlier games.
I dunno, I know I heard something.

The anime screwed everything up, and as much as I'm concerned Game Freak isn't to blame.

The mythology in the library in D/P mentions that if you eat a fish Pokemon and throw it back into the water it comes back to life or something. That library also mentioned the killing of Pokemon, so they don't completely avoid the issue.
Also, I'm pretty sure the church no longer has any problems with Pokemon.

Wasn't there shit in Kansas or some place where they banned pokemon?
There are a lot of fun things to discuss wrt pokemon. I think this one time, we spent a whole vacant period laughing our asses off at drawings and "what ifs" of pokemon.

I haven't really paid much attention to the anime, but when it started out, essentially there were Pokemon and regular animals. However, by the Third Generation, pretty much every creature on that Earth was a Pokemon in one way or another.
But, if I want to follow Pokestuff, I'd read that manga posted a few pages ago.

Nonono, I distinctly remember a season 1 episode where they showed someone walking their growlithes. No dogs, cats or etc in sight. Might be the first episode.

I think the first season did show some simple real animals like worms and fish.
