So I'm in the market for a new DS Lite...
#1
The touch screen on my original DS Lite is starting to get lines on it, and the color is slightly distorted. The problem comes and goes but it's starting to appear more frequently and stick around for longer. Thus, I think it might finally be high time I replaced it, especially since getting it repaired costs $75 plus shipping, which is only slightly less than what a new one costs. I'm trying to avoid getting a DSi because I really like having a GBA slot, and the 3DS (which I'll be getting eventually) has the same capabilities (right?).

So I ask thee of tSR... where's the best place to buy a new DS Lite? I'm looking to get a Silver or White one, seeing as my old one was Black, but if I can get some great deal on another color that's fine too! Any cunning strategies or hot tips? The reaffirmation that my best bet is probably Amazon or something? Any help is appreciated, erryone!

I'd suggest searching Google shopping too though, because I have found things like that Wacom Splash tablet I was looking for for a few dollars cheaper than on Amazon (or the official site, even).

Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, (local) goodwill stores, shopgoodwill.com

Local pawn shops can be a good place to find things too, but not only can they be hard to find (both the shops and DS Lites themselves Tongue) but they may be in a less than pristine condition.

I try to trade for things like that, recently I've been trying to trade this cool looking knife, but every time I pull it out to show people they just give me everything they've got.
People are really generous.

Seriously though, usually your best bet is to find an online-only retailer, they have much, much lower overheads so they can sell things at a smaller mark up, particularly if you can find a smaller online retailer that can deliver to your area, you may find a real steal.

Look on Amazon for a high rated Amazon-User who's selling one. You can get some cracking deals and as it's through Amazon there's less chance of not being able to get your money back if it smegs-up.

Just check the postage, like ebay some try and sneak a £100 postage rate past you...

Good choice, fella. The Silver/Grey one is definitely the best. My older sister has one, but she hardly plays it. (She says she wants to preserve it as a collection, so she goes and plays mine instead)
Amazon is a good place to buy stuff, but sometimes you should find other sites. Like eBay. Or why not try GameStop at some other time? ('Cause I searched it just now, it said it was unavailable... or I am just seeing things)
