Anyway, I've been looking at a lot of isometric stuff lately, and decided to try and make my own. I got this funky shaped castle-ish thing going on.
I'm not done, just want some feedback on how it is turning out.

Isometric generally looks better in a 'setting', so I thought to touch up your lighting and give you a bit of a spruce in setting.
I didn't get a chance to finish anything major, but I hope it gives you an idea of what to do

That's not really much of an improvement.
You just changed the color. Texturing is more than changing colors and dividing things into segments.
