I hope I'm not breaking the 8 color limit rule by making the background that color. :<

I doubt the rules are that strict. Why don't you make it transparent though?

If he makes it transparent, it'll be 9 colors, because the black is also used on the character, I think.

Well, you're kind of using that extra color then, which makes it kind of unfair to the people who stayed within the color limit :/
Take out one color, I suggest lightening the skin tone closer to yellow and replacing the yellow in the belt with the skin tone.

No, his background color is used in the sprite, thereby making it 9 colors on the sprite itself

Oh in that case, mine is 9 colors too.
But I think transparency should count only if it's a sprite.

Mine shouldn't count, but I think Dark's does.

I made mine while listening to Protomen, but I don't think you can do that.
