Quote:Just figured you guys should know. Archive is called "PokemonX_Y_MewtwoArtwork" and "PokemonX_Y_MewtwoScreenshots"

This is the same way we confirmed to people that the Kyurems were not new Pokémon.

Still, you never know
Quote:The source code for the X and Y site says Mewtwo too.

There, now can we end the Mewthree speculation, and can people take the lesson from this not to take marketing statements at face value?

Can you honestly say "stop the speculation" if your own source says hey, you never know? I mean hell, they could be using mewtwo because they don't want us to know the name yet.

i really have no idea what slyveon is

it better not be a new type

Didn't you also say you didn't want there to be a new Mewtwo form? Well this new type might happen too.

Even if the new form thing happens, it's an entirely other thing for a new type to happen.

Still, the only way I'd see a new type happening if it was a fairy type pokemon. Then that would at least make some sense for pokemon like Jigglypuff or Clefairy since they don't seem that normal anyways.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind another type?

Just as long as they don't add that new type to an older Pokemon.

What would be wrong with making the pink puffballs fairy types?

well, the whole formula in Pokémon is complex and deep as hell as it is, so another type would only add to that horribly large pile of mechanics and statistics that advanced battlers/breeders have to pay attention to.
idk, it just seems like a bit much to me. Sick

I should've said that it would depend on the type. I would be perfectly okay with that.

I read that the new pokemon "mewthree" is actually just a new form for Mewtwo. It got the info from a press confrance that happened in europe. I need to refind where I found the info.

I don't mind if they retcon a bit. It worked with Magnemite.

I'm not opposed to a new type, but only if it fills a gap that couldn't be made to work with the existing types. As in, I'm fine with it if they make a few Pokemon and think: "Hmm... the existing types don't quite work for these..." rather than: "Hey! I know! Let's put a new type in, haven't had one of those in a while!". Basically, I'm okay with it as long as it fits, not if it's pushed in there for the sake of it.

I am one of the few that think Steel needs another weakness. Steel has always annoyed me in that once paired with another type, it becomes a super Pokemon! This can also be said with Dragon types, but most of those type combos belong to legendaries.

I proposed Sound type before.
It's super effective against Steel, Ice, and Rock.
Not very effective against Water and Ground.
And doesn't hurt other Sound types.
It receives half damage from Steel, Ice, Rock, Fighting, and Normal.
And weak against... I don't know maybe magic things like Dragon, Dark, and Ghost.

I agree with Steel needing more weaknesses, or at least less resistances. Durant are hellish to deal with if you don't have the right Pokemon, as far as I can tell the only type that's super effective against it is Fire. Not to mention they're already pretty fast, strong, and tough in general.

I also agree that Sound would be a good type. There are a bunch of moves that could be Sound type already (Uproar, Sing, Growl, etc), and they could add more. It would also be a fitting type for Pokemon like Audino (it's already specified as a "Hearing" Pokemon) and the Tympole evolution line.

Maybe it shouldn't be super effective against Rock though, that already has a bunch of weaknesses. Maybe Psychic since it kind of disturbs mental concentration?
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford
