I actually like Blaziken considering most chicken Pokémon/creatures in general are a little lame imo.

Blaziken is okay, but I use the term lightly. I don't think it looks good as an evolution from Combusken, I don't like certain aspects of the design, and it started an annoying trend that all Fire starters had to end up as Fire/Fighting. Admittedly I loved Infernape, but for three games in a row? That was annoying.
Also I never found Blaziken to be THAT powerful. I'd often overpower Blaziken very easily.

Just chiming in to say I like the new pokemon

Anyway I think it's kind of interesting how they just revealed four new Pokemon and we only talked about it very briefly and casually, only to go onto a conversation about Blaziken. I remember in the past when new Pokemon were revealed it was a big deal... Now I guess it's kind of commonplace and boring.

My anticipation was murdered by Buttwo.

I like the bird and the panda, somewhat care about the goat and couldn't care less about the lizard.
Also, let's just take off our nostalgia goggles here and agree that every Generation had its fair share of good, bad and terrible designs; there is no way around it. Thanked by: megaMasquerain

I'll admit that each generation has their wth factors, but it's undeniable that with each iteration, the games get more and more linear. What the heck is that all about? Thanked by: megaMasquerain

But, but, but, but, but, but...G/S/C/HG/SS...16 Badges...a whole new region to explore on your own whim! Never-before-seen and never-again-done for some shitty reason. Thanked by: Kriven

And the way I see it, it's 8+8 badges rather than 16, if that makes any sense. That's the reason why Gen 2 is my favorite, especially if you didn't know about Kanto back then. Almost done? Nope, just halfway. I hope Gen 6 does something similar, but I doubt it. Thanked by: Garamonde

Whichever gen ends up being the last one, I wish they would just pull out all the stops and make every previous region accessible and make you get 8 badges for each, and not necessarily have the same leaders and Elite 4 as the originals.

Hopefully they don't make too many pokemon in this game superior to all the other gens.
I was a little mad that Conkeldurr/Meinshao outclassed Machamp. (machamp has such a better design imo) Hopefully we get to access the unova region so it has that gen 2 feel. As for the new pokes I like them all but the goat really, a grass deer now a grass goat... meh the design is good but i've never been a grass type user. I thought the puppy lizard was like a ninja or somthing when i first saw it. Not to sure about the electric-normal typing. It only adds a weakness and a immunity, and even though ghost moves won't hurt it i'd say there are way more usable heavy hitting fighting types. Jolteon FTW. |
